this eye wear boutique is just stunning! the variety of…read moreglasses frames is mind boggling and the ambiance of the store is totally different from any eye wear store you probably saw in your life... but let's start from the beginning. I came here along with a friend who was looking for a new pair of glasses frame. another friend recommended the place as he already bought a pair from them. first the decor. when you enter the whole atmosphere is somehow brings you into 60s - the dresses that the staff wears, the furniture that stands around. there is also smth theatrical in in and all this is surrounded by shelves and shelves and more shelves of glasses. they hang in the middle of the room and on all the sides. the variety is so amazingly vast that it's hard to decide where to start. and that's where the sales assistnats come in. they take a close look at the client's face and immediatelly come up with 5-10 potential ideas of which frames might fit the face. but it still hard to choose. some of the frames design is very unique. the shackles of some of the frames are decorated with flowers and art and colours and patterns and just styled in a way that you rarely would think of when you think of glasses. the prices are also much lower than you would pay in a regular store for a branded glasses frame. my friend ended up buying 2 frames (a funky one and a stylish one) for about $450 for both. two other friends are now also thinking to buy few frames from there... and I almost wish I had a need to buy glasses too... these frames are just too awesome not to wear them! well they also have a good collection of sunglasses but these were not as funky and unique as the selection for the prescription glasses. highly recommended for those who're looking for a new set of glasses.

In every store you walk in, the employees there were nice and helpful. There are so many stores selection and each one is unique. Depending on what you are looking for, I think price can be above average to high. Which is normal for a touristy destination. Loved the umbrella alley, the views of the river from the chateau, and the funiculaire! Make sure to bring cash that is less than $100 or 100CAD because they do not take that at the funiculaire.

Wandering the narrow streets that are laced between the historic buildings makes you feel like you are in the heart of an old European City. The Quartier Petit Champlain is the oldest shopping district in North America and a great place to buy souvenirs for your friends. Here, boutique shops and cozy cafes spill out of restored houses. A fun fact: One of the neighborhood's houses belonged to Louis Jolliet, the French-Canadian explorer credited with discovering the Mississippi River. The stone structures that line the pedestrian-only streets now house a wide variety of shops, services, and restaurants. This is the perfect place to visit for strolling and meandering, and it's a truly lovely area year-round. Québec-cuisine restaurants and bistros, art galleries, and a generous assortment of sweets shops offering everything from handcrafted fudge and nougat to a stylish Crêperie Restroom: Ask anyone and they can point you in the right direction, its 1 level down on the main road level.
