I am more a fan of the Christmas part of this shop - so many beautiful HANDMADE decorations for your Christmas tree. Very expensive, but impressive quality.
Ah yes, kitschy Bavarian gifts!…read more Typically I am quite opposed to gift shops, but this one has a special twist. Nary a drindl or stein, nor mention of any type of beers. It's offbeat. It's colorful. It's not the standard touristy crappola...and your people at home might appreciate that. Surely everything resembles the stereotypical souveniers....but cooler. Mousepads, glockenspiels, racks of fake antlers, sausage sets (fake, obviously), magnets, funny tees (especially for kids), aprons, and the list goes on. Looking for something to truly surprise your significant family, friends, or other...without hauling a stein or shipping some beer? This is your place. Interesting books and paper, cards, stationary and postcards. Including a few guide books on interesting places to check out in the city... A tourist stop surely, but a cute one that stands apart from the rest. I'll be back before I make the voyage home!

Strolling in Oberammergau came across to this magical Christmas shop …read more Went inside and so much to see beautiful Christmas decors all around the store. Bought some ornaments and magnets. The attendant was really nice . Worth to visit when in this quaint town.

Got a cuckoo clock, the staff told me that they could pack it in the original package and ship it to US for just 100 Euro. They also took the sales tax off the price of the clock, which paid for the shipping cost. Some Chinese tourist got kicked out for eating ice cream in the shop, so please don't bring food inside the shop.

NOTE: YELP SORT OF UNINTENTIONALLY CHANGED THE ADDRESS INFO FOR THIS REVIEW. IT'S IN OBERBOZEN…read moreWHICH IS NOT INDICATED ON THE MAP. This is a four star if they have what you need because, while I'm not that familiar with Renon/Ritten (I was only there for a few hours), I didn't see that many places to get gifts, souvenirs and clothing... and they had a very large selection of hiking shoes. It's an odd blend of super-touristy gifts and some actually useful clothes (not just tourist ones that say "My folks just went to Oberbozen and all I got was this lousy t-shirt") and shoes. I would not make it a destination unless you actually need one of those items listed above. Also, if you've just gotten off the gondola lift from Bolzano and you want to walk around a bit before getting on the train to Collalbo/Klobenstein, go to your left when you are leaving the upper lift station and you will pass by here. By the way, all of the cities (and menus) around here are in both Italian and German and, to me, the South Tyrolean Alps area feels more German than Italian and I'm guessing a lot of the locals agree. Everyone gets along now (I think) but language has been a free-for-all since 1919 when this area was given to Italy by the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
