I don't take kindly to writing a review for a firm I have thought so highly of. My husband and I…read morehired this law firm to represent he and I in several matters. They filed numerous lawsuits, however some of the lawsuits they filed were just thrown together. Spencer Bryan assured me they would be amended prior to the lawsuits being served. Spencer told my husband that they should have done it already but have been taking advantage of the extra time the law allows. The lawsuits were never amended or even served. I was served with a bogus subpoena by an opposing party and I sent Steven an e-mail asking him if there was anything I needed to do or worry about. He replied and said not to worry at all about it. Steven filed a "Motion to Quash the Subpoena" but he did not file it correctly. After I've paid them thousands of dollars, he admits to me today that he filed this wrong and made a mistake. Due to his mistake, it has caused me several months of non stop worry. Steven should have said he would take the correct actions and remedy the problem. Nope. He just wanted to be done with us. Steven and Spencer didn't fight for me. They didn't protect my interest. Even in court, they didn't look out for me. I was told they represented me, then they told the Judge "No we don't represent him". After I e-mailed both Steven and Spencer asking them about this e-mail where they sent both myself who is not a party to the lawsuit and my husband who is the party to the lawsuit this e-mail, they asked to meet with us. They told both of us that they had to get out IE they were dropping us. They offered to give us a refund of X amount. While it sounds like a great offer, they have taken our money and have not represented both of us to their best of their ability. We have lost years of our time because they were too busy to do their jobs correctly. What about our time lost for your failing to properly file? They admitted to both of us that they were stretched too thin. Unfortunately, because they are stretched so thin, they have now caused both myself, and my husband irreparable harm. My husbands lawsuit will now be dismissed because no other firm will take it due to "Conflicts of interest". The lawsuit is against a billion dollar University. Bryan and Terrill could not take on a lawsuit successfully against them. It's a good case too. They just don't care. Steven told both of us to just throw him under the bus for his mistake. We didn't want to do this. We wanted them to fix their mistakes and do what we paid them to do. When we originally hired both Steven and Spencer, they were so nice. They appeared to work diligently on everything for us, but I believe they are chasing larger cases and we just became less and less important. They certainly paid attention to us when they wanted our money. We put our trust in them. I should have known that something was wrong when they had 2 years to file a simple open records lawsuit against Tulsa Community College and they put so little effort into making sure a correct lawsuit was filed. They took our money, assured us this stuff was being done etc. They lied to us. They deceived us. Its the worst feeling in the world. What makes matters worse is that Spencer was just ordered by the Oklahoma Federal Court to pay $12,000 to opposing counsel for releasing confidential information on another lawsuit where they represented the plaintiff in that lawsuit.

We have to keep calling and calling and then we are told "the case is pending" by the office staff. This is extremely aggravating.....just let me have a minute with the attorney, please !! There is a constant turnover of office staff. There are piles of papers, boxes and files all around making the office look very disorganized. I would suggest a firm who is more aggressive and organized.

My 83-year old mom was injured in a local restaurant parking lot in the Fall of 2017, as the business nor the property managers had kept the concrete lot level. There was a 1.5-inch raised lip between sections of concrete that my mom tripped over as she was getting into her car. The lip was not shaved down or painted, nor were there any warning signs of uneven walkways. Long story short, she hit the concrete face-first and suffered many lacerations and some permanent cognitive slowdown after the incident. Even though the ambulance came and many customers offered assistance, no restaurant personnel ever came out to create an incident report or to see how she was. I flew home from Oregon, consoled and cared for my mom along with my brother and sister, and then we visited the restaurant and took photos of the concrete lip. Meeting with the manager on duty, she actually agreed the parking lot was dangerous and that other falls had happened out there. She offered us a box of muffins for the trouble, still not filling out an incident report. I started looking for an injury attorney right after that. I knew that my mom's medical bills were going to be really huge, as she was taken by ambulance, admitted to the ER, et cetera. So I wanted to find an attorney with compassion and great reviews. After finding reviews of Kent McGuire online, along with those of several other attorneys, I decided to call each of them and get an idea of their service and willingness to help. After leaving messages for several firms, I spoke with Linda McGuire. She was empathetic, listened intently, and offered to make an appointment that same week. We set the appointment, and the rest is now history. Kent and Linda were professional and promptly communicative the entire time we awaited settlement and/or a trial. The defendants were very disagreeable and difficult to work with, and if it weren't for the firm's persistence over time, I feel confident this case would never have been settled. With deepest thanks to the McGuire Law Firm, Robert Allgeier

She held my case for approximately 21 months, during which time she repeatedly reassured me that she was committed to pursuing it and would not allow the statute of limitations deadline to become an issue. Based on those assurances, I trusted her to move the case forward appropriately and in a timely manner. However, despite nearly two years of representation, she ultimately chose to drop my case with only about two months remaining before the statute of limitations expired. This left me in an extremely difficult position, with very limited time to secure new representation and protect my legal rights. The most concerning part of this experience was not just the decision to withdraw, but the prolonged period of inaction combined with consistent reassurances that everything was under control. This created a false sense of security and ultimately put my case at serious risk. I understand that attorneys may decide to withdraw from cases for various reasons, but doing so after such a long period-especially so close to a critical legal deadline-demonstrates a lack of professional responsibility and consideration for the client's situation. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider their options and maintain close oversight of their case timeline if choosing to work with this firm.

In the beginning I was a bit spectacle about all the 5 star reviews that I saw before I went to this office for my case, but now I see why he is so highly rated. I called several offices in the Pasadena area for several cases that I need legal help with. When I called around I noticed that most of the attorneys were more concerned about how much money they stood to gain from my claims rather than being concerned about my well being and injuries. In short, this attorney has surpassed all of my expectations. I was taken aback by how genuine and personable he is. He has shown exceptional attention to detail with each stage of the proceedings and has always made himself available for questions. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you for everything you did for us Jora!

From the beginning, communication was inconsistent, but we trusted that he was handling the case properly. That trust turned out to be a serious mistake. Our insurance company issued settlement checks that were paid to him as our attorney. We never received our portion of those funds. At no point did we agree to the final payout amount, and we never authorized any settlement to be completed under those terms. Despite this, the checks were deposited and cashed. We later learned that our signatures were used without our consent or approval. This was shocking and deeply alarming to us. After the checks were cashed, all communication stopped. Repeated phone calls went unanswered. Emails were ignored. Text messages received no reply. There was no explanation, no accounting, and no attempt to resolve the situation. It felt as though he simply disappeared once the money was received. To this day, we have not been paid what we are owed. Adding to the damage, the doctors he personally referred us to were also never paid. These medical providers relied on his office to handle payment from the settlement proceeds, and instead they were left unpaid and began contacting us directly. This created additional stress, financial exposure, and confusion that never should have happened. We were put in a position where both our legal and medical matters were mishandled at the same time. Because of the seriousness of these issues, we have formally forwarded all documentation to the State Bar of California for investigation and review. This includes the lack of payment, the unauthorized handling of settlement funds, the disappearance, and the failure to pay medical providers. We are cooperating fully and allowing the appropriate authorities to determine the outcome. We are also aware of at least three other individuals who have shared similar experiences involving this attorney, including nonpayment and lack of communication after funds were received. While we can only speak directly to what happened to us, the pattern is deeply concerning. Based on our experience, we strongly advise anyone considering hiring Jora Malaky or Malaky Law Firm to proceed with extreme caution. What we went through caused financial harm, emotional stress, and months of unnecessary uncertainty. An attorney is supposed to protect their client's interests. In our case, we were left feeling abandoned and betrayed. We are sharing this review so others can make an informed decision and hopefully avoid going through what we did.
