During preparation, our family was offered a few items that we could buy. We opted to purchase jewelry called Thumbys, which were charms made from a cast of my father's thumb. One of my sisters was distant from the family at the time and didn't receive a necklace. I was reunited with my sister this December and called Gilbertson's to see if there was a possibility that we could get my sister a necklace before Christmas. Mike at Gilbertson's was incredibly accommodating and did the research required to obtain the item information and link the jeweler to the record of my father's print. We were able to order a necklace and give it to my sister Christmas Eve. I was incredibly impressed with Mike and his care, even nine years after my father's passing. Each experience with Gilbertson's has been beyond expectations.

Then, as he was doing things he was saying exactly what he was doing the whole time. I felt very comfortable with his demeanor in a sad time. He told my sister-in-law that he understood what she was going through as his wife died of cancer also. He put us at ease the best he could at the time. Hamilton Cemetery may be a hard place to find if you are zipping along Hwy 20 on the North Cascades…read moreTrail in Washington State. It is not directly off Hamilton Cemetery Road as you may imagine, but at the end of Cabin Creek Road which runs perpendicular to it (address is Latitude 48.5364997 and longitude -122.0037597) and that's the only way I found it. Luckily, I happened to pull off the road and took a wild guess as to which direction this cemetery lay as there was no physical address and the Cemetery road was a very long one, running parallel to busy Hwy 20. It was interesting to note that I drove off from Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes earlier that morning some 35 miles away. The cemetery is in a quiet residential area (by residential I mean there was a lone house off to the side of Hamilton cemetery and the closest house from that one was a pretty far distance away from that). Very desolate and also very dry in mid July. Most of the stones are old and some are unreadable. It was very quiet and the only person there was myself. A lone porta-potty sat under a shady tree but I felt odd about using it. Not sure if it had seen any living souls in a while or if it had seen way too many. I would like to learn more about the history of this old graveyard but unfortunately there is hardly any information out there. A sign greets you when you pull into the cemetery with contact phone numbers - maybe this would be the way to get some information on the history of this place.

I started coming to the Stanwood location about 6 years ago when my health was extremely bad. I was on a heavy dose of insulin daily and without medical. They provided me with medication and top of the line care. They got down to all of the issues I was going through and treated me so kind. Once my health was well and I was no longer in need of their care because I received medical, I then started volunteering at the Smokey Point location. Everyone that I interacted with as a volunteer and as a patient has been so kind and the most amazing people I've ever met. Now I find myself without medical again and was recently seen and again treated with the utmost care, and even provided with a goodie bag with all of these really helpful sweet goodies for my way home. The staff are amazing, the office is clean and organized, and these people donate not only their time but their skills and heart to everyone that walks through the door. I appreciate everyone at both locations for all of the hard work and care you put into everyone THANKYOU
