Taylor and Emily were incredibly helpful in our home search!!…read more we had a pretty hectic situation . we had just moved across country, to be living in a hotel (a family of 4 and 2 large dogs) we were desperate. I know I must have given these women a few gray hairs with my list of wants and constantly sending them listings and having them drive all over the place (sorry ladies)- but they were never once impatient with me. never once acted like I was a burden. they were both very quick to respond. Emily pointed out some issues that I didn't notice, which was great because I'm sure it saved us a ton of headaches in the end! some houses we walked into and literally turned right back around and walked out (unfortunately you can't smell homes through photos) and they understood and didn't once make me feel bad for taking up their time. when it came time to purchasing Taylor was our main girl and she really went up to bat for us !! We got a great deal and felt so pleased with all the negotiating she did for us. we are now 6 months into our home and so happy. I HIGHLY recommend Taylor and Emily. thank you ladies for helping us during such a stressful time in our lives, taking the time with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted . Thank you Emily and Taylor - the Lee family .

After having moved to Louisville (to be close to family) on the cusp of what would become the most…read morecompetitive buyer's market in decades, my wife and I leaned very heavily on Michelle and the Homepage Realty website throughout our search for our first home purchase. Throughout countless private walk-throughs (amidst several COVID spikes and resulting restrictions), a half-dozen offers (and subsequent painstaking negotiations which resulted in nothing) and ultimately buying our house, Michelle was always even-keeled and supportive. The more homes we looked at, the more my wife and I would joke (between ourselves) that "she must be getting so sick of us!", but we never actually got that impression -- far from it, in fact. With a demeanor closer to that of an actual friend than that of the typical, overenthusiastic (and sometimes phoney) real estate agent, Michelle was very honest with us about when a particular house wouldn't be worth our time, or when another would require more work than we'd like to put into a new house, or when another would probably take more than we were willing to spend to get it. She made it clear through her actions that our satisfaction was more important than her commission. In addition, the time she's spent living in Louisville is evident in her familiarity with each pocket of the city and the pros and cons of living in each one. It seemed like every prognostication she made for us ultimately came to fruition -- including on the house we finally wound up buying. Everything from the offer price, to certain specifics in a given contract or offer wound up being just as vital or as unimportant as she said they would be, all while never doing anything shady, underhanded or out of line. The house we finally bought has all the things that we said were important to us, it's close to the family we moved here to be close to, and was well within our price range. We can't (or don't want to) imagine having gone through the home-buying process with a different real estate agency or agent.

Michelle is fantastic! She is ALL the things you want your realtor to be. For starters, she was…read moreso friendly and welcoming at our first meeting. She knows a ton about houses and is good at noticing things that you likely would not and knowing some of that stuff up front is helpful. She is respectful of what you're looking for and takes it into consideration on any houses she suggests to you (which she does a solid job of sending your way so you don't have to worry about missing a good one as soon as it pops up). She gives you honest feedback that really does help with the hard part...making a decision. She was always quick to respond and communicated very clearly. I honestly enjoyed looking at houses with Michelle; she definitely made the stressful process of home hunting/buying way better!

We made the mistake of working with Brooke Feather of Lenihan's Sotheby's in our KY / IN home…read morebuying process -- DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! TL;DR -- We chose Brooke as our Indiana Buying agent, and *really* wish we hadn't. She was unprofessional, uncommunicative, and careless with documentation. Some examples include: - Rarely answering text messages. - Rarely answering questions or requests we made. - Being generally opaque about conversations she'd had with the selling agent. - Horrendous 'bedside manner': After not walking us through the risks of clauses that SHE PUT IN regarding closing/occupancy, she answered our concerns with a unhelpful response, "well if you didn't want that, you shouldn't have put it in the document." - Brooke genuinely made us feel like she was on the Seller's team, and NOT ours. - Not bothering to show up to the property on the initial walk-through, despite us flying in from out of state. - Promising to give us information on repair contractors, and never providing it. - Submit legal paperwork on your behalf with SPELLING ERRORS, vague / unclear language. Seriously, ChatGPT does a better job. - We asked to add clauses to make sure our interests are covered and she was resistant to add them! We had to argue with her -- the agent who should have our best interests in mind -- to make the changes. She made it seem like such a chore to have to go back and make changes in a Word document. - Promising to show up at the final home inspection / handover, but NOT showing up and not sending us a text to inform us or tell us why. Instead, her colleague (who is not licensed in Indiana) had to inform us of Brooke's no-show status. - Ignore looming deadlines in the home buying process without providing an update of what's going on. - Telling us, in front of a contractor, that WE should simply do the work instead of hiring the professional, after we told her we do not want to do work ourselves. - Constantly talk about, "My husband is a homebuilder!" Well, Brooke, your husband is not involved in the home buying process, so who cares? - Letting her co-workers answer texts to fill Brooke's silence regarding a sale in Indiana. The kicker is that the co-worker helping her is NOT licensed in Indiana! - Not providing help in building the home buying contract. Ex. "post-occupancy can be a nightmare, I wouldn't recommend it", or "You can place a financial penalty against the seller to help move them out on time". Conclusion: Overall, she made us feel like she didn't care, and was really just in it for the paycheck. She came across as uncaring, unreliable, uncommunicative, unprofessional, and uninformed. Our recommendation: Find someone else.
