My daughter attended as a Freshman last year and had such an awful experience. Her roommate was a…read morecomplete nightmare and was bullying her, also cyber bullying her. The RA was not helpful, it continued. Spoke with the head of the department and was treated like a complainer and not taken seriously. I personally had to go in person and speak with the roommate and was treated like the problem, when I had written proof of the bullying etc. It was my daughter's first college experience and I felt like the school failed. My daughter also is a minority student and I felt like it could have also been a reason for the lack of action and poor treatment. I eventually had to PAY for another room so she could be at peace. When she wasn't the problem! It is a beautiful campus but feels like it falls short of making minority students feel welcome. I witnessed students writing racial slurs on white boards on campus, " Jews can die", etc and profanity. Not a good look for a school to allow things like this to happen. Beware if you are a minority student, it doesn't treat you well.

The malodorous smell wafts out to the basketball gym floor, and players are hit with the smell before they shoot their jump shot. The odor is enough to miss the shot. There were several reasons why I chose Chanel: 1. The uniforms were not too bad and we were given some options to "mix things up a bit" 2 Small class sizes (as compared to local public schools and other larger Catholic Schools) 3 Nice community feel amongst the teachers, administrators, and students 4. Yes, it is a Catholic High School, but it did not feel "too churchy" and we Incorporated a lot of general philosophy concepts in our religion courses 5. Good theatre program 6. Good sports program (for boys and girls) 7. Good opportunities for community service and improving the lives of others through volunteering 8. They offered a tuition payment plan that was manageable for my family I really have great memories of high school. I think this is in large part due to my choosing Chanel.

It was a horrible place to live on the one hand because it was completely isolated from other freshman. On the other hand, it was a great place to live because everyone knows freshman are stupid. The first year I lived here I remember speaking to a junior or senior sorority girl telling her I lived in North Hall. She kept asking me "which one" until I realized that she thought I meant a dorm on North Quad. At a school with an undergrad population of around 2,500 she didn't know that my dorm of a couple hundred students even existed. B-W was very divided along a North/South Bagley Road split but it has slowly joined. Even by my second year (I lived there again because it was one of the only buildings with singles) things had changed. I like to take credit for its notoriety. There is a 24 hour computer lab.

Tappan Elementary is grades 1 - 6 and is a very nice place. They are right around the corner from us and it is a place that is always being taken care of. It's always had a well manicured lawn and the janitors seem to live there! Even in summer! I had the brief opportunity to meet with the principle and he is very nice as well.

Having used open enrollment to get my son into this school, I must say, I am mighty impressed…read more Clean and neat, even when school is out of session and it is the exact same layout as Tappan Elementary so there is little to confuse my Autistic son as he starts school. The staff is just fabulous! Friendly and helpful! I couldn't ask for better!
