I generally watch both Jeapordys each day. Sandwiched in between is KENS5. The weatherman forces me to turn the sound down. Not only does he have the most mountainous ego, he 100% cuts off his co-host EVERY time. He must have something going with his bosses. read more

I really like Ken's 5I started watching it because their streaming app was so much better than channel 12, which pretty much glitched and never really had anything useful on it. However, recently I signed up for notifications in the app on my phone and in my notifications bar, it'll mention a story you touch. That story, it takes you to Ken's 5, and it doesn't take you to the story that you clicked on so basically you open up the app, and there's just a bunch of kens, 5 can's 5 kins, 5 kins, 5 photos. And that's it, you have to go searching for the story if you want to find it also the other day. Ken's 5 would just go on and on and on and on and on about how it was cold outside, while there was some significant news happening on their app and I couldn't get the app to stream to my T. V, so I'm sitting there stuck with my TV on Ken's 5 talking about the weather over and over and over again, while on my phone, there was very significant national breaking news. That I really, really, really wanted to watch so I don't know what the synchronizing issue is. Or I mean, don't send me a notification about a story if I can't click on it and read it. And I'm not all that technologically great but when you click on something you'd hope it would take you to the thing you clicked on. Anyway. That was just my experience recently, I've been very frustrated and Not knowing if any of the other channels are any better since that's what brought me to ken's five in the first place was the fact that they had a better app on the roku. Other than I love ken's five I love thei morning.\nNews scasters. read more

I am glad to see news. Unlike other stations like KSAT and Telemundo that want you to scan a QR code. If I wanted that I would just Google news. Thanks Kens for not making us look for news read more

these people like to interrupt the weather video. sometimes when I want to check the weather in San Antonio because it looks like dark clouds outside so I check the weather on this news and I try to watch what they say then, all of the sudden the screen turns black and it aways did this when there's a severe storm coming! it's so disappointing that I can't see what's happening and I also have a weather app on my phone but sometimes the app has an error and the black screen is not my tv doing it, it's there video because I rewind it and it shows it! these people are dangerous and what if there was tornado coming and you tried to check you weather app but it had an error so you had to go to the news and the screen just turns black when they try to talk about it. I'm never watching there news ever again! read more

So we have rain and have to watch about it instead of the only programs on that are new. Dude is still talking about the same thing and the only chanel interrupting the regular shows enough already. It is raining we get it. read more

I just would like to give Bill Taylor a thumbs up for mentioning Timberwood Park in his weather coverage occasionally. Thanks Bill

Please have Isis stop talking about herself & family. We don't need to know all that; we need news stories. Also when is Alenna's baby due, poor thing seems she's been pregnant forever. And the new sport caster is he local? Doesn't seem very informed on our local teams. read more

This is regarding the Sports Section of the 10 o'clock news. The World Cup Soccer Championship is going on these days. This is a true World Cup when over 50 countries participate, the sports casters don't even mention that this huge sporting event is going on much less god forbid if they show some high lights! This is sad. very sad. If they need more minutes to cover the Sports, they should ask the Station Mngr for more time but not covering or even mentioning the World Cup is un-forgivable! I will not waist my time anymore with Kens-5 so called News! read more

The only good thing about this that has been keeping me coming back every time is certain beautiful news reporters they have here. Sarah Forgany, Niku Kazori, Sharon Ko, Savannah Louie and Audrey Castoreno. other than the occasionally interesting news reporting the goddesses of kens 5 are the main reason I watch it. I actually went to the kens 5 location on occasion. not inside just passed it by. the food catering company they were using was bringing in food for the whole news crew while other staff members of kens 5 chose to eat what they had brought on their own out on their cement benches with cement tables. when i was there the one thing I noticed the most was that almost every other business around kens 5 was closed forever and partially demolished while kens 5 stood out loud and proud. Kens 5 has more good luck than it ever deserves because this company is thriving from ratings as well as side business adventures. if it wasnt for the beautiful women here and the side adventures kens 5 would have died a long time ago. read more

I watch for The Price is Right. That's about it. The news crew is hardly newsworthy. The newscasts are little more than who got shot on the southside, and where the latest wreck occurred. The actual national and international news are an afterthought. And they're so sensational! What common household chemical could kill you? Find out at 10. read more

I am a news junkie and watch it from 430 AM until 9, then I watch Great Day SA. I am not a huge CBS fan but to me KENS 5 keeps it honest and objective unlike there corporate heads. I feel the weather forcasts are among the most accurate and the personalities very friendly and caring. read more

The news was embarrasing yesterday...I really like Sharon Cho and you are really lucky to have her but she really bungled the plane crash.. if it wasnt on the teleprompter or what ever you call it she was lost..at one point she just stared at the camera.. luckily Stacia Willson who was doing the traffic (or weather..cant remember) jumped in and kept the ball rolling and provided some relevant insight. I can see Sharon moving to bigger and better things once she becomes comfortable on air. read more

Still foisting her family off on us! Also can she cut her hair! It's very distracting. Please Isis get a life and realize there are real serious issues confronting us! read more

The female that KENS TV has doing their traffic reports is terrible. She doesn't speak clearly at all and doesn't appear to know sections of the city at all. She also jumps all over the traffic map. She needs to learn how to speak. read more

A Tellez needs some guidance. Her voice is so monotone I can no longer watch. Give her some training people

They've got the worst meteorologists I have ever seen! There is a new one named Marina who gets ALL of the weather icons wrong. I don't know if she's stupid or can't forecast correctly. Mostly Sunny icon and on the top it says showers. Sun at the top and has a cloudy with showers icon. There is NO chance of rain in the upcoming week after tomorrow (Sunday) but yet she has showers all through the week. Just horrible. I guess they like hiring the bottom of the barrel. Why they keep hiring idiots is beyond me. read more

I did a photo shoot here and I had a great experience. The staff of KENS 5 was so professional and forthcoming. It was a great shoot and I look forward to returning for another shoot. read more

Absolute professionals through the entire TV segment process from start to finish. The KENS5 team is joy and a pleasure. I highly recommend this CBS team and station. Texas friendly professionals! read more

Kens 5 - Television Stations Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Thanks for NOT running 314 covid stories per newscast like WOAI TV (they've done nothing but covid for almost 2 years now). And thanks for having believable anchors unlike KSAT who has that drama queen at 10pm, which is why I switched to the KENS 10pm newscast. I like 12's weather people and weather casts but cannot watch because of the antics of the new woman anchor (drama, drama). Roger P needs to go watch WOAI for the massive amounts of covid stories in every newscast (I'd rather see a dog murder than another covid story). And Jim M needs to get a life. read more

Rarely reports on the new AAF football team San Antonio Commanders, even though the AAF has a partnership with your parent station CBS. This week they broke attendance records at the Alamo Dome for the AAF, WON, and are in FIRST PLACE. What do they have to do for you to report on them???? Kens 5 please help San Antonio keep football! Dont be so busy covering march madness and teams not from or playing in San Antonio. No wonder we cant get an NFL team. The other local stations report about them. read more

This is said with no bias at all but after jeopardy the 5 pm news is a huge joke. The anchors are fine but the technicians or what not always have the show in jumbles. It's funny at first but just sad now. read more

The sports coverage is similar to watching an advertiser selling used cars in a very loud voice. He is overly animated and unpleasant to listen to read more

Vanessa Croix is one of the best weekend news anchors I've seen. Unfortunately, she's a fill in-that's too bad. I would definitely watch Ken's 5 more frequently if they changed rotated/changed some of their anchors. read more

Deborah Knapp is always a class act!!! All of your anchors add interest to the information they are reporting. Just saw the segment on the citizen's prayer post. So very uplifting. I always feel that your anchors are decent people. Thank you for staffing with the absolute highest quality personnel read more

Kens 5 is where I get my evening and late night news. The coverage is good; they give the more important stories first. Anchors are good I like Sarah Lucero and Jeff Vaugh, and how they deliver the news. With Joel Reinagel on sports and Bill Taylor with the weather you cant get better news than this. I like the investigating segment Eyewitness Wants to Know Berry Davis really helps people in community. I do miss Chris Marrou he was really funny and crazy. I gave Five stars to Kens 5; at 9o'clock there is no news in San Antonio (Channel 29). read more

This is the best station going. I love to watch the people on this station. My favorite person is Paul Mireles. I am a Communications Major from Texas A & M Corpus Christi, class of 82. I am 74 and I am retired U S Navy. Normally, CBS stations leave a lot to be desired, but not KENS5. In my book, you are the best. read more

Can't find y'all are going to have to be held accountable if you're not aware of it you're reporting news that is biased and is not accurate list your resources of fact check alternative sources are available so then why do you only report things that are one-sided there is a lot of people more people are dying because of the vaccine then the freaking covid-19 or it's variance it's a common cold it's cold season people are going to have sniffles and stuff and if not that it's radiation poisoning due to 5G cell towers report that kind of stuff because that is the truth of the matter and where are all the dead bodies if there is so many people dying of covet every day where are the bodies I have not seen one funeral service in months anywhere so where are the bodies I'm more than sure your family's parents taught you well and they told you not to lie and help each other so then why are you all sharing this lie with our community these things are not accurate and you're taking advantage of people that aren't able to understand report the truth there is alternative sources the media and a lot of people know are owned by very rich people that are contributing to this whole disaster you know this so please do the right thing tell the truth read more

The news is good, the newscast apps are good, and their weather forecasts seem to be the best in San Antonio. The info-crawls with upcoming news stories are useful. They also have news on weekend mornings and at 4PM. Major complaint would be that they (like most CBS affiliates in this part of Texas) refuse to air the full hour of Face the Nation. read more

I watch the morning "news" because it's on before CBS This Morning. The older anchor, Barry, is horrible. He might have been good at one time, but his time is over. He looks bored with the news, he doesn't have good report with the other anchors, and often reports news with bias. I don't understand why he's still anchoring the news. read more

Good news cast. Good for all the news they give. But sometimes they can be very stiff. But overyall can be the best news cast in San Antonio

Great coverage! Can you all include the map from the Del Rio area when telling us about the weather..Please?
