My daughter had a cyst removed in the middle of her forehead years ago and there is barely a scar. She visited him for acne troubles and as long as she stays the course, her skin is acne free. I only see Dr. Borenstein; therefore, I don't have an opinion regarding the rest of the medical staff. I have a couple of friends who see the PA Nicole and they speak highly of her. I did visit Dr. Shapiro many years ago and I was pleased with my experience. There were many new support staff on my recent visit and the assistant I interacted with was phenomenal. She was both extremely kind and knowledgeable. I'm having a forgetful moment, but her name starts with an L and she's a brunette. If you find yourself in need of a dermatologist or have cosmetic skincare needs, I highly recommend Gardens Dermatology. Their office is clean, the staff is friendly and I've never been disappointed. Furthermore, the folks I've referred have become permanent patients.

He was always neat looking like a doctor should along with the office being very clean and orderly. I never commented on his excellent service but now after trying at least five other dermatologists that fail to give you a proper examination that I am accustomed to. Every person I encountered here really seems to like their job. They have smiles on their faces and seem happy to be there. Now for the Dr. So I am waiting in the room to show him this spot on my leg and lets face it - no one likes needles or getting cut open but I really really really hate needles. So the Dr walks in and I told him I was there for him to look at something but I really wanted him to just give me a cream and send me home and I promise to put it on as many times a day as he says lol he laughs and said "Sure we can do it over the phone if you like" totally down to earth response that had to make you laugh. But secretly I was like "whew" I don't have to get cut open today lol. Anyway he called in a script to my pharmacy and told me if it doesn't go away in 2 weeks I have to come back for removal. MY experience was very bad and I am left with permant scars on my eyelids. A simple BLETHO turned…read moreinto multiple surgeries because he " forgot" to take out fat deposits and one lid drooped after recovery. A second surgery split open that night and I had an ER of three stitches to close it leaving a scar. My eyelids are laced with "suture cysts" He SENT me to Ocular Surgeon after two rounds of laser. My lids are " burned" on top of this. I am heading to Ocular to remove cysts and getting push back by Lickstein to pay. This is MY FACE not something I can hide. May 26 was two years of this. Second Surgery Oct 25. Told would go away. This September WERE NOW IN 2026.....Ocular can remove but he's saying it's my problem. Perhaps the silicone reacted BUT THESE WERE HIS PRESCRIPTIONS BOTH TIMES. The cysts 6 along my lids, the acre pre lent nd the lids raw burnt red. He is not a person to go to for this.

1/5 -- Repeated Billing Problems…read more I was a patient of Dr. Akhil Gupta at Skin Center of Florida and stopped seeing him in October 2025, largely because of my repeated frustration with the practice's billing. My experience was that I would pay what I was asked to pay, frequently in advance, and on more than one occasion I believed my account was fully paid, only to later be told that I owed additional money. On one previous occasion, I challenged a bill and the charge was subsequently removed. The latest incident happened approximately ten months after I stopped seeing Dr. Gupta. I received a call regarding an outstanding pathology bill. When I called Dr. Gupta's office and asked which visit the charge related to, the office could not identify the specific visit and instead gave me three possible dates: June 5, 2024, September 15, 2025, and October 1, 2025. I then had to track the matter down myself. Global Pathology/Sonic Healthcare's Miami office was ultimately able to identify records associated with the two 2025 dates and directed me to CCS regarding a balance of $183.62. I negotiated a 15% reduction and paid $156.08 to resolve that account in full. To be clear, my complaint is not that this final pathology balance was necessarily improper. My complaint is the repeated billing confusion I experienced and the amount of work required to determine what I was supposedly being billed for. Patients should be able to receive a clear accounting showing the date of service, insurance adjustments, payments and credits, and the actual amount owed. In my experience, getting those answers was unnecessarily difficult. After repeated billing problems, I finally decided I had had enough and stopped using the practice. Based on my personal experience with its billing and administration, I would not return and cannot recommend this practice.

I saw him once and I told him all the different ways other doctors have tried to treat me. He decided to treat me without any pills or harsh chemicals. He did something called photodynamic light therapy and gave me prescriptions for two topical creams as well as a non-prescription moisturizing cream and sunblock, sourced and labeled directly from the Doctor himself. Over the past year, Dr. Vituli and the staff at his office have made a huge positive difference for me, my face and my overall mental wellbeing and confidence. I highly suggest taking a consultation with this man and being open to his suggestions. There are never any guarantees when it comes to choosing the right professional for the job, but this guy has provided for me the results that many other doctors tried to achieve.
