My wife and I just spent two days at this quaint B&B in Barkerville. The room was very comfortable attached to a bathroom. It's regrettable there is no shower, easy to hook one up, imo. It is connected to an other room, no big deal. Just remember to unlock that room when you are done. We slept soundly. Breakfast is wonderful, starting at 8:00 a.m. The Host was very helpful. Gave us a key to get in the front door at our convenience. Barkerville is a quaint historic gold mining town well worth the visit. It did rain but who can you blame for that :-) However, on our leaving morning I had to walk down to get a cart, bring it back to the B&B, load up the cart and push it down to our car. No cars allowed into the town . I think the Host should have done this for us, we were the guests. All in all I walked back and forth 5 times!! Some communication is necessary between the host and guest. That was a service that would have been very much appreciated! Being 70 and all. I do recommend this B&B however. read more
