This is another place that has been around since medieval times. It's more of a farmer's market…read morewith fresh produce, meats, baked goods, flowers, plants, coffee, wine, and tapas type food. It's just outside of the Old Town city walls near the Barbican in the Kleparz district. I didn't see as many tourists venturing out that way. Although, there were people visiting the Grunwald Statue.
It's a great spot to visit when looking for more of the local flavor. I was totally impressed with the selection of beautiful berries and mushroom varieties. The gooseberries looked especially nice. Everything was very well-presented. It's an open air market that is covered. It's actually quite shady as you walk through it. There are ATMs outside in case you need to pay in cash, but many vendors except cashless payments. I really love that it has more of an International mix of products. There are Italian, Greek, Ukranian, and Spanish vendors as well as Polish. The freshly dilled whole pickles in the wooden barrel were very enticing as well as the bakeries. We really just stopped to get a bottle of water on our way to a resraurant nearby. They really do have it all here.
I'd shop here weekly if I lived in Kraków. They are open daily with extended hours on the weekdays (6am to 6pm). It's totally worth a visit.
