They offer pre school sessions from 8.50 to 11.20 and 12.20 to 2.50 to work alongside the primary school which is just next door. There is no parking for the public but as it is a local village school most people can walk there so it doesn't pose too many problems as people can park along the main roads. Well established staff team, all CRB checked. Working towards NVQ or qualified. Excellent rapport with parents. Committee run the pre-school and locals are invited to join this at Agm in Jan/Feb each year. Kids seem to love the staff and the environment, well worth a visit if you are considering different pre-schools.

It is now Known as Newmarket College, and they have tied the school in with the new and improved leisure centre and the school has open access to most of the new fascilities. Its not a huge school, but it is big enough to accomadate its pupils comfortably. The school is split into 3 parts, the main building is where the majority of lessons take place, and there are seperate buildings for the technology depratments, and the drama halls. The school has lots of grounds, including the massive playing fileds at the back of the school. There is a small car park to the front, too. I attended this school for about a year and a half, and having attended a few this was by far my favourite school. The teachers were easy to relate to and lessons were well taught, and the fascilities at hand to students were fantastic.

Each child is treated as an individual and the teaching and support is excellent. There are 5 classes at the time of writing. Reception, Yr 1, Yr 2, Yr 3 & Yr 4. The school is also very lucky to have a lovely playing field with adventure playground bit, and a heated swimming pool which is used during the summer term in PE lessons.

Waiting lists can be long, so it best to get your child on there early. They offer full days, and half days at reasonable prices, and have numerous activities that encourage children to learn through play. There are pleantly of staff around, and the children very often get plenty of one on one time with staff members. Snacks are provided every session, always healthy, usually fruit. A progress book is kept up to date of everything the children do, and it is sent home at the end of every term for parents to see the progress too. A very very good pre school :)

There are many lunchtime/ after school clubs and the school appears to have strong sports and music departments. Just such a pity they are getting rid of Middle Schools :(

This is a lovely little primary school serving the surrounding villages and the Army base at…read moreWattisham. Both my children attended this school and they loves it. All the staff were dedicated to the learning of the children. There was quite a turnover of kids due to the army families but this didn't make a difference to the school on a whole. There is a couple of play areas and a big adventure play park which the classes used to take in turn to use. I spent quite a lot of time in school helping out on the PC's teaching the children how to log on to the Internet. The classes were not over sized at the time my children were here there was approximately 20-25 children in a class. Overall this is an excellent school that I would recommend to anyone.
