It's a real community here. After Cafe del Mundo closes each night they typically go hang out together until the early morning by the water. So you'll meet really great people here. The ambiance is spectacular too, with imported signs, license plates, and books from all over the world. If you get here before midnight, ask for the drink special that night. The food is great too. Do it!

Stayed at the Marriott Izmir for two nights. Had lunch and dinner here and the food was okay. I…read moremight be bias because I'm vegetarian and I'm in a country where meat is part of the basic meal. Sadly one night I ordered room service, just Black Forest cake and it was terrible, tasted like it was frozen and dry. The night we had dinner, I ordered two appetizers and it was good. The drinks are strong and does its job lol If I return to Izmir I would recommend stay at this location and dining here. The location is right on the water. Beautiful view, clean rooms and clean restaurant and the service was excellent.
