We wanted kebabs and we wanted to stay close to our Airbnb.
A quick google search showed us this kebab shop in our neighborhood.
This was the only place where we had a language barrier. But I can point at what I want, see what my total rings up to, and pay the man. And I still end up with a delicious kebab! So all was well.
Despite none of us understanding each other, we were able to order and get what we wanted. Patience and kindness and a smile help ease the awkwardness.
The kebab meal I got, with fries and a soda, was my cheapest meal in Copenhagen. And it was positively delicious! Exactly what I wanted, filling, and delicious.
