My kids' choir went here to record for Christmas morning chorales. I don't know what I expected but I was pleasantly pleased with what they provided. It was clean and the workers were nice. They has allotted plenty of time for each choir to record. They also provided a place to warm up that allowed you to see the preceding choir so you could get an idea of what you would be doing. They also provided snacks for the kiddos. They gave the kids tips for stage presentation and allowed us parents time to take pictures of the kiss on stage. It was really a good experience for the kids. read more

I lived through the years of Katie Horner staying on the tv forever when there was bad weather. We got sick of it back then, but when she left, it turned to normal weather coverage, like other channels. Now we're back to weather people who won't get off the air until there is nothing anywhere within a huge area. What happens, is that people just stop watching the channel when it's like this. Just run the information across the screen. I wish we didn't like shows on CBS! It's been terrible so far this spring and very frustrating! read more

They interrupt a total hour of programming on ch 5 for weather I recorded a tv show while at work On March 10th 2026 @7pm on ch3 i came home to watch it and the whole 60 minutes of the show was weather updates and now I can't find the episode anywhere to watch this is old Katie Horner was fired for this now ch 5 is doing it it's a out rage Kansas City needs one main station on Spectrum cable for nothing but news and weather updates not on national tv during prime time not everyone is into weather updates thats why we have the weather channel this is getting old plus they run a news strip on top of the screen and dont say anything but they kill the sound on the show your watching anyway so your blind your screwed no Announcement sound and no sound on tv what's the purpose that meteorologist needs to be fired like Katie Horner was KCTV5 NEWS AND WEATHER NEEDS TO STOP INTERRUPTING TV SHOWS ON PRIMETIME TV read more

I have watched channel 5 news for years, but something has happened and not in a good way. Anchors. Reporters, meteorologists just terrible but tonight I watched a lady named Jiami Navarro and she is outstanding. Very professional looking, very well spoken, correct Grammer and no stumbling over her words. I think she is a winner . Maybe hope for channel five after all. read more

KCTV 5 is the BEST news to watch. It is refreshing to have a news channel that is all comprehensive! KCTV 5 offers First Warn 5, their consistently updated app for your phone, that keeps you in the know about everything, days ahead of a potential storm systems coming our way. KCTV 5 has Scout Cams everywhere! It is wonderful to be able to turn on the news and see what's actually taking place in the area. Anytime, day or night if bad weather hits, I turn to KCTV5 because I know you'll be there. It's comforting! There are numerous newscasters out on the roads in troubling weather conditions to bring the latest news right to you from the comfort of your home! They are out on the streets monitoring driving conditions, in all weather! KCTV 5 truly cares and gives solid, knowledgeable advice for how to handle bad weather situations. KCTV 5 will help people make good choices in advising people to stay home if road conditions are bad. After she did take the printing with really angry face she run inside her office she said she will give me an refund! Well as the normal human being the all transition on the bank it's usually takes an 7 Business days, well I give her an 14 business days, well after an 20 days I call them again to tell them wat they will talk to my lawyer next time, what this young manager lady said she will talk to somebody and call me back, well she did call me back in couple minutes and said she will refund in two days. Well she been lying to me too, it's been a week and I still don't see my money back. So total is the job was not done, I don't have a printing's, and my money stolen!

Let's be clear I did not want to give KCTV 5 1 star..... I called to report a valid case- that I have all receipts too and was verbally attacked by their news rep. So something told me to check the reviews and it all clicked after that. The case I am reporting happened in johnson county- NOTE 1st possible reason I was slammed. Secondly I am exposing Organized Organ Theft & Body Snatching/ Abuses of Power within these organizations & their Counterparts and their failure to keep their organ donor system registry updated. Then I noticed another review that would implicate that KCTV5 is deep - I mean dumb into politics. Wish I would have read these reviews before I made my call. Thanks too the internet I get to write this review as well as report that-ORGANIZED ORGAN THEFT & BODY SNATCHING IS REAL- THE ORGAN REGISTRY FOR THEIR BUSINESS PARTNERS ARE NOT BEING UPDATED ACCORDINGLY & THEY PREY ON SERIOUSLY INJURED PATIENTS FROM OTHER STATES WHO THEY FEEL FAMILIES WON'T & CAN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT, ALL RIGHT IN JOHNSON COUNTY IN THEIR MOST USED HEALTHCARE FACILITIES AND HOME OF KCTV5 - who knows the way their news rep handled me they might be trying to help these companies cover up - I mean cover their side of the story- you never know- the stories however can be found on all social media platforms- the word is getting out & my story will be worldwide before you know it. Lock your kids up in your JoCo split-level because they're not safe. The blonde brainless newscaster just announced there was a shooting outside a college bar in Lawrence, an amber alert in NW Missouri, a drive-by in each part of the city, and a H1N1 breakout at Sunny Valley Elementary. Oh...and Katie Horner also said there's severe weather looming over Kansas City at all times. No wonder they got rid of a sports department-- no time to try to scare bored, Olathe moms at Target.
