November 2016 We were picked up at our hotel in Cebu and brought to Let's Go Trek Tours three hours away in Badian. There we got our canyoneering gear-- a life jacket that had a chocolate snack in the pocket and helmet. One of the tour guys carried a large wet bag for our belongings along with a mini bottled water for each of us. We rode on the back of a motorcycle, holding onto the driver, to Kawasan Falls. When we got to the site we started hiking. The hike was at times muddy, rocky, through the river, inclines and declines.. And throughout the hike you slide, letting the current take you to the next level, there are several jump sites (some are a must jump, some are optional). Along the way, there were also some BBQ vendors. The only vegan food offered looked like it was just tomatoes on a stick. I didn't ask.. just looked. It was a great expedition. The water was colder (not enjoyable) in some parts but overall, a good experience. read more
