Found our new breakfast spot. Extremely friendly wait staff went way overboard with our kids. Chocolate Milk came with whip cream and sprinkles. They brought out a snack plate for my 1 yr old with raisins, crackers, and peanut butter. The stuffed French toast was delicious and enough for 2 adults. Omelets were good. Prices were great. Katie's is incredible!! Found it on yelp and was not disappointed. My father was in from Miami and we decided to try it. The food and service were impeccable. I had the corned beef hash and my dad had the stuff French toast. It was so delicious we ate everything on the plate. Definitely making this one of my regular spots. read more

This was our first time at Katie's Cafe. It certainly will not be our last. The food was amazing. I was shocked at the variety offered by such a small cafe. You can order breakfast until they close at 2. Unlike some restaurants that don't. The service was also fast and the staff is very friendly. We had Sarah as our server. She has personality plus. Katie's motto is "Because Nice Matters" and the entire staff there takes this very seriously, the working owners included. I usually go for breakfast and have never been dissapointed. Eggs done the way you like them bacon and homefries with or without onions too. Waffels and strawberries with bacon crisp. This is by far my favorite Saturday AM breakfast and I have tried it at most of the local breakfast eateries and Katie's is by far the best in Sarasota/Manatee. I have lived here in Bradenton over 19 yr. Katie's seem to be doing well. I guess it's great for early morning coffee and a place for regulars to meet. I have had breakfast and also lunch here. I think the best bet is breakfast. I found out that on WED they have Great Pea Soup. For lunch I order the Business lunch. 1/2 a sandwich. cup of soup, and a VERY small salad. $6.99. (you have a choice of 3 types of sandwich's.) the salad is only lettuce with a spoonfull of chopped tomatoes on top.. Servered in a very tiny dish..(the kind you would put a side of coleslaw in,) I don't buy the coffee as I think any coffee over a dollar is to much.... They have a morning breakfast special but you have to get there before 9 AM... I go out to eat often because I am a single older person and I find getting up, and going out gets me moving, and it seems like the day lasts longer... It is true this place is friendly, and service is excellent, and its clean. It's OK I'm not sure if they still open for "all the fish you can eat on Fri Nite" It used to be a regular Fri nite only dinner..They also have another special if you don't like fried fish..... ..This is a cash only diner... Breakfast here this morning. I was all set to order something else, then I was advised about a great breakfast special. 3 eggs, any way you like them, hash browns, and toast. Bacon or sausage a little extra, but my drink was included. Cash only, and I had only $20 on me, but $10 covered the meal, plus a generous tip for the friendly and attentive service. If I had any complaints, it's that the place is open for breakfast and lunch only, and closes around 2 p.m. so I rarely get to try the lunch menu. read more

They are nice, friendly. My husband had a veggie omelet with grits and toast, and I ordered french toast. The omelet was so dry and hardly any cheese. The french toast had a chemical taste to it. The food was disappointing. The service is good. We had no meats or sides. The bill came to 17.00. My husband and I thought the food was pricey and unremarkable. read more

I can't say enough good things about katie's. We eat there at least once a week its close to our office. I have never had anything bad. I love the wraps, and the tuna melt but I get it with provolone. The wait staff is always pleasant. They also have the best chicken noodle soup around. read more
