But once I learned she was out of state, and with Covid-19, and finances, we let it be and she recommended a local officiant to us. we spoke to two other officiants and I just knew she was kin and we we had to have her officiate our day. I reached back out to her almost a couple months later and we devised a plan for a virtual ceremony. From that point friendship turned into family, she was so knowledgeable as this was our first and only marriage, so kind, so helpful, so thoughtful, so fun, she was everything we could have hoped and dreamed for in an officiant! Needless to say, we would recommend Jonny a thousand times over and over, for she is truly the best! Thank you Jonny, we love ya!

Last Dec we got a letter from the KDR saying we owed them $1900.00 from 2017 , upon further investigation we learned that $550.00 of that was from Penalties and Interest. My husband is a Contractor and had worked in 4 different states that yr and paid state taxes in all states, she recorded all 4 state tax amounts as being paid to Ks, therefore we received a return that was not due us. When brought to her attention she never admitted fault, amended our taxes and sent in an abatement letter asking to reverse the penalties and/or interest. When asked about those she said she would do our taxes free for us the following year. The end result , the state did not change anything, amount of Tax owed, penalties or Interest. We have never heard a word from her , she did not go to bat for us at all.

Upstanding personal service from experts that know their business and totally stress free!…read more My personal experience with ALEC NGUYEN at NGUYEN LAW OFFICES was more than just satisfactory. My wife and myself were filled with happiness and gratitude when my wife finally received her green card after many, many years of frustration. For years I went through many immigration lawyers, my money was taken up front several times never even being allowed to ask one single question to the actual lawyers, I was sifted through secretaries and "gate keepers" that were more like "sales people" who could care less about my situation and the problems they presented. I witnessed exorbitance in the immigration attorneys offices, so many people working, so little hands on approach, wasted money on making an impression with Coffee cups, stationary, pens, designs with logos, all this attention and energy put into non-sense, when what we needed was real people who knew who we even were when we called after spending a small fortune. Carolina was great, every call was answered, every message returned. If you think this should me the norm, think again, beware...after people have your money, you'll be lucky to get any service for what you paid for. Small, simple, uncomplicated, down to earth, and Alec takes the time to really know your distinctive problem or situation. When I left, all the paperwork was immediately completed, I never had to call and beg or wait for weeks and months for my paperwork to be submitted. I would highly recommend the services and Alec and Carolina, they will get the job done and you will have no regrets.

As a divorce lawyer he gave me a whole new perspective. Tailored my bill according how much income…read moreI made and the assets I owned. My lawyer bill was way way beyond the initial estimate. How about more than 3 times a high figure for hiring a divorce attorney!!! ....... plus I had to pay for all of my ex's lawyer bill! He was in agreement for doing that! Once a lot of money is invested in an attorney, it's hard to fire him and start over! The whole time I had him hired, he always acted like it was his first job. Just seemed like a lot of fumbling around. Then for alimony payment, he uses a formula....years married, your income and ex-spouse income. This formula is something he (he is part of a advisory/steering team) came up with that is unrealistic and unfair to me in my case because I had been married a number of years. Stuck to his rule of thumb even though other places in Kansas that I showed him don't adhere to it. And even though it seemed excessive to him, he still stuck with it. I had to ask him several times if he was playing for the other team. Seem to always go along with the opposing lawyer.... never shooting their ideas down like I had ask. He uses antiquated office programs and slow equipment which takes more time, all of which is to his benefit. He did not know what an Excel spread sheet was or how it worked. He wouldn't work with mine. He was amazed at how the opposing lawyer could come up with optional sets of figures so quickly......I never told him how they did it.  Often he was totally forgetful on what we did the last time we met......Then several times he didn't do what he and I had agreed upon. One time costing me thousands in the end because he gave the opposing team the wrong figures. Hard to retract that once that's done!  My ex and I did not have disagreements about property division and we didn't worry about the small stuff but both lawyers tried to get us to fight and argue. They kept bringing it up until I told my lawyer to stop. Lots of emails he charged me for (not cheap) were numerous and frivolous. But I left them go just to avoid argument. He did put on a good show in court at trial.... but that's all it was....a show. I could see the judge getting bored with the nonsense. In the end he tried to make me feel like I came ahead. I think I would have been just as well off without any lawyer. I'm still paying the high price of his service even though I paid his bill! It became apparent he had worked with the opposing lawyer before and wanted to work with her instead work for me. Kinda bad when the ex agreed that my lawyer took advantage of me!
