I retained Bradley Erdman at Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC (MKFM Law) for a child custody and financial enforcement case. On March 4, 2026, during an active custody status hearing, I asked him a few standard, clarifying questions about the court process and our strategy for enforcing a major financial judgment. Instead of answering me, Brad became completely dismissive and abruptly withdrew as my attorney right there in open court. He left me completely unrepresented in front of the judge during a critical moment in my custody case. A family law attorney is supposed to be your advocate during highly stressful times. Brad Erdman proved that if you ask questions or expect clear communication, he will cut and run, leaving you entirely exposed. I am now filing a formal grievance with the state disciplinary commission. I left another voicemail that I wanted to proceed with the divorce and was seeking his representation like he agreed to. This went on nearly three weeks and I just gave up. Now this guy has all my personal information and refuses to call me back for some reason. About as unprofessional as it gets. Better yet my kids and his kids are in Cub Scouts and athletics together so when he sees me at events he avoids me and acts like we never sat down for an hour on a Saturday as I told him intimate details of my marriage. All he had to do was call me and say "Listen, I don't feel comfortable representing you since I know your kids and wife." I would have accepted that and moved on. No harm, no foul. My reply "I showed you in the notes the receipts." This happened often and created delays. Anything that could be addressed in one hearing had to take 2 minimal with additional months as it wasn't addressed even with the prep. The opposing counsel was given confidential information I sent to the attorney in one instance. Another instance my child told me "mom's attorney said that your attorney told him you need anger management." This was discussed between my attorney in confidence and I and I do believe this was another instance where confidential info was discussed. One instance I vented about the constant delays and was told to "shut up" and my attorney hung up the phone. I went through a process over 3 years, at the tail end I discovered the opposing attorney had an office less than an eight of a mile from this firm so I do believe they were well aquatinted and this should have been disclosed to me as I would not have used them. Often times I felt like it was 3 against 1, the attorneys and my ex vs me. Stay away. Currently I have been trying to close my file and refund the balance of my retainer for months even though the divorce decree was issued in the fall. They made a bad situation worse.
