The equipment including the raincoats, water shoes, helmets, paddle, raft, lunch, and snack. The guide is included if you wonder:) The river they take is class 1 or 2 and it more to the scenic rafting with a bit of wave. During our visit, the snow run off make the water brown instead of clear. But it has a lot of water which is good and fast. The reason I said this is a scenic tour because it has beautiful mountains view on both side. The breathtaking is when they dock to the bottom of the waterfalls. The raft got splash by the mists of the falls and it is indescribable experience. Along the way you will get wet due to high current. We also see bird nesting on the rock. And the rock is like glitter reflect the sunlight in silver color. I would recommend this rafting tour to family. The only downside is the bathroom outhouse not to civil standard. But you are at the jungle and mountain. Go to nature for your business. Love this tour. I would take the whole day tour and enjoy the nature with fun along the way.

It was so cold my 17yr old niece was crying by the end of the trip. I must say, it might be the coldest have ever been. Rain, wind, cold cold cold freshly melted glacier water spraying all over the boat... and what an awesome experience it turned out to be. It could have gone horribly wrong however... it was really the staff that saved the day. We went out in two boats with four guides. A team of really friendly and funny Aussies in one boat and in our boat some local Canadian fellows. "Ian and Chris" (sorry if I got their names wrong) were out trip leaders and they were great. They knew their stuff too. Pointing out history of the area, geological information and all the while navigating a boat through very difficult weather. At no point did I feel unsafe or worry about the safety of my family on the boat. Had the weather been a bit warmer it would have been nice; but all in all it was a trip that will never be forgotten. Sadly because of the weather we saw more wildlife from the bus to/from the River Runners office (Black Bear, Grizz, Moose, Deer, Bald Eagle) but that's not their fault. I would use them again and suggest them to anyone looking to run the Kootenay River! No doubt. Sadly one of our party could not make the trip as they were injured the day prior. Without even asking they offered to refunded his trip the morning of the trip. This was truly appreciated and very unique. These guys are a first class operation and your search for a River Guide should stop with KRR!

What a fabulous adventure for the whole family…read more It all starts with a big welcome and our first set of instructions, followed by a fun and bumpy bus ride to the river. Next, we put our equipment on and receive event more safety training. And then the adventure starts! Our guide Jared was fun, knowledgeable, and so friendly. He made the trip even more fun! In a word, INCREDIBLE!…read more My family of 6 of us went white water rafting with Kootenay Raft Co and it was incredible! The staff, the sites, the experience were all 5 Stars! It was our first time rafting and we had 2 adults, 2 kids (12&13) and 2 seniors (grandparents, late-60's) yet ALL of us said this was bar-none the best experience of our entire trip to Canada. We chose their main experience which was the intro rafting route which still peaked at level 3+ rapids. The views were absolutely breathtaking! We saw and learned so much, like "don't park your car on eroding cliffs". This is only something you could truly experience from the water: mountains, cliffs, wild life, rapids, serene beautiful nature, hikers, peaks and valleys, laughter, excitement, just a hint of brief terror, more laughter and so much more! Our in-raft guide was Tony, the Canadian, and he was exceptional. He was a great teacher and encourager. He is obviously a natural leader who is comfortable in the water and around people. He made us all at ease and really took the time to educate and listen to each person. More so, he's an expert at his craft and even with the obvious potential risk, he made us all feel quite safe. Our scout was Ben, the Frenchman, and he was definitely the seasoned veteran of the group. They are all young guys, but Ben has lived in the area for years and knows the rapids very well. He went ahead in his kayak and would communicate with Tony the path for us to take. The two worked incredibly well together and made a great team. Ben was also our photographer for the wet and wild sections of our trip and let me tell you that guy knows all the key photo opportunities. Do yourself a favor and pay the $35 for the pictures as they were great! It's a flash drive that contains roughly 90 pictures of the days adventure. Finally, our bodyguard was Rolf or Raulf from Finland. He might have drawn the short straw, not sure, but he stayed behind with the bus to guard all of our stuff. He also met us at the destination with some above average cold watermelon and lemonade. Finally, he was our on-land photographer and also had quite the eye for camera angles. These guys run a top notch shop and provide everything needed for the adventure. They even helped us fight our way into and out of the provided wetsuits. For the group or individual looking to have a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and to receive white glove service then this is what you've been waiting for! I think Tony stated it best when he said, "we provide everything, you just have to bring the enthusiasm!"

ADV Rider :{) I…read morerode up from the states and stayed the night at one of their tent spaces for a night. Spoke with the owners(wonderful folks) and rented a tent space for the evening. Beautiful scenery, Cabins available, well kept RV & Tent sites available, older but clean Bathrooms available. I slept like a rock listening to the nearby creek, very peaceful. They have a small Italian Restaurant with both inside and outside seating, a Boat Ramp/Marina and beautiful views of the Mountains and Kootenay Lake. I will most definitely be staying there again when i am back in the area. :{)
