The staff are really friendly and personable, even though english is not their first language. They're obviously very knowledgable on the food and drinks they serve - all our questions were answered! While this is possibly the most expensive place I've been to so far in Kreuzberg, it was worth it! (and the surprise desert was indeed surprising)

I was really happy i did, and pretty pleased with the experience. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, with really a lot of different things to choose from. After a killer saturday in Lollapalooza we really needed to fill it up. The 2 of us were really satisfied with everything, the scrambled eggs, bacon, the silver dollar pancakes, coffee was good, yoghurt, fruit, they had it all. The only negative thing is that the OJ wasn't fresh, it was Minute Maid or Tetrapak stuff. The staff was incredibly nice! It was really price worthy, we paid something around 24€ for 2.

Lured by the promise of currywurst, we also found delicious schnitzel, three kinds of potatoes, and red cabbage - along with a couple Ducksteins each, we ended the meal thrilled that this jewel was so close to our Airbnb. The interior decor is cozy, with a lot of signs - seems to be a pretty popular way to decorate German restaurants. Also an interesting collection of license plates - there's an Epcot one that would send any Disney World fan into paroxysms of delight. The woman running the show knows very little English, but they do have English menus and she was warm and welcoming. Remember though - it's customary to tip 5-10% in Berlin. They absolutely deserve it here. TL;dr: Great place, great food, great people. Go here.

It looked cozy and looked like German home cooking. The quaint rustic restaurant was busy the night we went. The waitress which looked like the owner gave us a quick nod to tell she saw us as she was delivering some yummy looking food to a table. We waited by the bar. She led us to a corner table and German menu. Thank goodness for Google translate. It was enough to figure out the menu and also to say Very good once the food was delivered. She gave us a great smile. Thumbs up and another beer! We certainly knew our schnitzel was being made as we can hear the pounding from the kitchen. What came out of the kitchen really did feel like home cooking. We haven't had a bad meal so are in Berlin and this is no different. Mittmanns is a cozy local restaurant that according to the signage has been around for quite a long time and I think it will be around for a while.

Maybe we just picked the wrong meals or bad week to go there but it wasn´t good. Not at all. It was too salty, like if the Chef would put drop a salt caster into each of our plates. No taste at all. So maybe like one star for food. Two more stars are for the location, very good service and choice of beers. But I probably wont come back again.

So here's what I had: ASSORTED GERMAN BREAD - complimentary Wow I really enjoyed all the break here! It was fresh and warm and comes with honey and Nutella! Went so well with my meal! Such a treat! BRUNCH MOKKABAR - €9,30 When it comes to bring or breakfast platters, we often find the sweets on one side of the plate, and the greasy on the other. However, the fruits were spread out all over the plate with different savories in between...and I don't mean it in a bad way! I've never seen such a colorful breakfast platter! There was so much fruit of all kind: pineapples, honeydew, apple slices, oranges, grapes, grapefruit, tomato, and kiwi. This plate also has a mozzarella ball and cherry tomato skewer draped in basil leaves drizzled in olive oil. Nearby is scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes that was made to how I like it: NOT over cooked. They did a great job! On 2 comers of the plate was a sallow of cream cheese, and one part was a huge slice of butter! Oh boy! There was some grilled chicken on 2 placements I the plate as well. It was white meat so a tad dry. However near the center are dipping sauces: honey-mustard and sweet-chili sauce! So wonderful! Oh and there are some tiny egg roll like fried wrap that were tiny and delicious! There was 4. So much going on this dish! I suppose I shouldn't leave out the vegetable garnish: cucumber and lettuce, haha. To me this dish was the map of the world! Such a colorful and delicious variety from so many cultures! Definitely a platter to share!

This place isn't spectacular. It's a bit atmospheric and has an air of being near the university. There is art on the walls and intellectuals all around. But otherwise it is unspectacular. We had to wait a little bit for someone to take our order. That's not unusual. The food came out after a not long wait. We had to wait again for the bill. My friend has a trick where she stands up and goes to the cash register. It works. It was a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. The problem was that they were understaffed.
