They looked…read moreafter repair services when we were out of the country, advised us on insurance issues, and carefully screened our renters. Tasha was particularly helpful during covid and helped out with communications with our tenants. She took a personal interest in taking care of everything. We felt our condo and tenants were in good hands with the Sutton Group Del Mar Realty.

My wife was communicating through one of their agents Tasha Panico to schedule a viewing for a home they were managing. They had agreed to show us the place on 6 PM on a Wednesday (6 days ago). Tasha had asked to move the date earlier to Monday at 6 PM but my wife was working a late shift at the hospital and didn't have a chance to reply to her email until the following day where my wife confirmed 6 PM would be okay (Tuesday). Tasha explained she was busy that Tuesday and left it at that in the reply email. We of course assumed the viewing would go ahead for Wednesday at 6 PM and my wife emailed back apologizing about not getting back sooner and emailed back to confirm again 6 PM on Wednesday. She did not get a reply back but we did not think much of it at the time. We got to the viewing early on the Wednesday, sent one more email and also text messaged her that we were there, still no reply. We phoned her once at 6 PM but still no answer and then waited around and still nothing. Unfortunately we never got another answer from Tasha explaining what happened even though there was never any indication to us that plans had changed. The unit was subsequently rented so our interpretation is that she felt there was no point in showing us the rental however a simple message telling us so would've sufficed and would have saved us the time involved in making our way down to the viewing and waiting around. Again I hope this is a one off or there were extenuating circumstances but I feel that as a professional organization, communication is very important, and we felt there was a communication breakdown dealing with Tasha, who had been a good communicator up until that point.

There was supposed to be pictures taken professionally that was never done, and Moe did not contact me to get the keys and access to the house itself. I found my own tenant and he still demanded me to pay him in full or else I'll hear from his manager. I did pay in full in honor of the contract which was signed, but felt it was very unjust given that he performed no services at all. Would not recommend his services and will not be a returning customer.

He didn't even include the address, and after we inquired further about it, he sent it just a mere few hours before he was showing it. If I were the owner of the property I would be concerned. We weren't able to make the showing under such short notice and not being from the area, but I see it is now still up for rent and has dropped in price by $400! We emailed again and got zero response again... Not sure what this guys deal is, but really unfortunate for the owner. We could have rented at the original price had he been willing to have more than a 1 line conversation or work with us.

While this real estate sales and rental management company calls itself Sincere Real Estate…read moreServices there is nothing at all sincere about how they treat tenants at some of their properties. They list hundreds of properties (many of the listings are duplicated to make it appear they manage more properties than they actually do) on their website, the domain of which has only been registered since January 2022. They also manage several low-income rental properties throughout the lower mainland that are only advertised on Craig's List. Like all the other properties they manage, the low-income rental property owners are offshore investors. Many of the low-income rental units are in poor condition as little, if any, building maintenance is done by the owners/management company. Tenants are expected to make repairs and pay for damage that is not caused by them, but is due to neglect, improper and/or lacking maintenance by the owner/management company. The agent we dealt with was indignant and unwilling to help during a situation that required expert professional people to come in, ignoring phone calls and text messages. He refused to bring in professional repair people for several days, as it was deemed too costly. The agent made disparaging and insulting comments to tenants, showed complete lack of empathy. His attitude was unkind and unsympathetic. He was completely unprofessional in his handling of the situation, refusing to make payment to a person for the repair services he provided. When the exact nature of the issue was revealed, the agent refused to apologize for the disparaging and insulting comments he made towards tenants, and became even more indignant that apologizing was expected of him. Goodwill, honesty, understanding, and compassion go a long way towards building good customer relationships, regardless of 'rich' or 'low-income' status, and especially in times of need. Treating people poorly reflects the organization's internal attitude and culture, which is why I cannot recommend this business to anyone.
