Ever felt like you should have been a rock star or maybe that you were a rock star but in your past…read morelife? Well, now you have your chance to shine at the World Music Room. World Music Room is a KTV place in Greenhills. It's located in the newer area of the Promenade. The entrance is quite tricky to find as it's sandwiched between the theater entrance and Cafe Publico. If you still can't find it, you can just ask the nearest friendly security guard and you can once again relive your singing career. The rooms of WMR are quite small. What I'm surprised with is that they don't seem to have soundproofing? If they do, I could see it. The doors are even made of glass. Hm. Strange for a KTV place. Basically, you would be singing in a box. There are no frills with the decor. No stage :( No fancy microphone :( and very basic chairs and a basic sound system. Due to copyright laws, the videos are still like those of the 80s. Funny how they've never improved. They're always of people flitting about and making lovey faces. Blegh. At least, you have a place to sing your heart out. That's the most important thing.

We got this big room that was connected to this other smaller room, so we were able to use that part as a staging area of sorts. The room also opened to a balcony facing the Theater Mall and it was spacious enough to accommodate a couple of buffet tables. This freed up the space inside, the actual KTV area, for people to comfortably move around in. There were couches on all four corners of the semi-square-shaped room. The TV and karaoke equipment were mounted on the wall at the front part, in plain sight of the whole room so it's like you're at centerstage, hahaha. Although I prefer the style and ambience of some other KTV places, World Music Room does have its own look and design. Walls may be a bit bare and couches and tables could be more plush given the vibe of the place, but it's still definitely a pretty nice place on the whole. Staff are courteous and everything's clean. They should upgrade their song banks though!!!

Looking for barkada's night out? And you all happen to love karaoke? Then head on to Turtles Family…read moreKTV, where you will be able to sing your hearts out and have a good laugh about it with your loved ones. They have good quality sound system, however, sound-proof walls are not guaranteed. Don't worry, the other rooms are filled up and would most likely be just as chaotic as your room is. They have updated songs, from mainstream to some indie, from English to Korean. They also offer good food for pica-pica or one whole Baliwag chicken for the hungry ones. Their rates are also affordable, especially if you're going to split them up with lots of friends. Just a tip: consider time length that you'll be staying in, and pick out the best package rate to save some coins.

They have different rooms available, depending on how many you are in a group. The rates of the rooms also vary, if you are 5 in the group, then it's going to be P500/hour. They also have a package you can choose from - like a barkada package that has different foods like sisig, sizzling hotdog, tofu, and a bucket of beer. What's cool about this videoke joint is that the song selection is very wide, you'd be surprised that modern songs are in their list already. Even if you don't have a singing voice like me, you'd still sing at the top of your lungs and your friends would even cheer you. The rooms are also sound proof so if you are the shy type who doesn't want her voice to be heard outside the room, then you don't have to worry. I've been here a couple of times already and one thing I can assure you is that you're gonna have a wonderful time with your friends. I suggest you bring at least P500 to cover for the room charge and also the food and drinks that you are going to order. Turtles KTV Bar and Resto is also very accessible, as it's right along Visayas Avenue. It's good to go here once in a while, to sing your heart out, and to release all your stress. Just make sure you already have a song list or else your diva-friend wouldn't mind singing the night away.

My friends have celebrated many a birthdays here, with a group of five, fifteen, twenty, and even a hundred! Indeed, that they have many different-sized rooms to cater to your needs is one of Centerstage's biggest draws. Another is its affordable packages. For around Php 2,500 to Php 3,500, you can already get drinks, food, and three hours of videoke in your own KTV room for five to 15 pax. Not bad! You may also avail of hourly rates for the KTV rooms if you prefer to choose your own drinks and food from their extensive menu. Hosting a party? Their Sala can fit up to 100 pax. Package starts at Php 35,000, inclusive of food, drinks, and videoke time. For the serious/aspiring videoke stars, Centerstage's playlist is extensive and updated! Their microphones are regularly cleaned and have sanitary covers that are changed per visitors. Rooms are also clean, though some may have lingering smells of food ordered by previous visitors. Some rooms are cold, some not too much. Their waiters are accommodating, though, so I'm sure you can work with them re: temperature adjustment. An important word of advice: Centerstage can get packed, especially during Friday and weekend nights, so best to reserve via telephone before you come. We made the mistake of forgetting to do this the last time we visited, and we ended up fifth on the waiting list. We had to wait for over an hour--went out to dinner first--before we finally got a room. By then, we were already a bit sleepy. But we still ended up staying over three hours! Our voices were hoarse and our throats itchy when we got home, but we had a blast!

The song choices are excellent too. Expect to find the greatest and the latest with just a click of the button. All the Spice Girls I want - and you want - are heeeeere!! All together now - Stop right now, thank you very much...
