I recently got my caricature done by Kara at the Nevada County fair (in Northern California). She is so darn talented. Plus she was engaging and upbeat making the whole experience very fun fair friendly. Prices per person were $20 for black & white and up to $40 for color on a 11x17 inch art paper. So a two person black & white caricature would be $40. I opted for a color caricature. She provides a plastic bag to hold the caricature. And sells hard plastic sleeves for $10. She was fast and efficient. It didn't take her anytime at all to complete. When she showed me, I instantly laughed out loud... luvin it! Fun, quirky, unique caricature portrait. read more

Karacatures - Caricatures Near Me

We had such a great experience with our caricature artist! She communicated quickly and was incredibly professional throughout the entire process. She had our caricature drawn before we even arrived at our wedding reception - and it was beautiful. Later on, we realized we wanted to include our dog in another one, and she was so open and accommodating about it. She was such a hit with our guests - everyone loved watching her work and taking home their drawings. The pictures turned out amazing and were such a fun, unique touch to our celebration. Highly recommend - she made everything so easy and added such a special element to our day! read more

Booking was easy and Kara confirmed prior days to the party. I did hear from my event coordinator that the first impression was not the greatest. She demanded that she had to be placed in the shade and not sun (so we had to move all of our vendor tables accordingly.). She also required chairs and this was something that was not prior discussed so we had to pull chairs from the downstairs tables that were supposed to be used for the reception area for food. Guests enjoyed this fun service because it was something "different" that is not typically at 1 year old birthday parties despite a few customer service issues. First off, my parents wanted to get a caricature with my sister who had just got hers done prior with her friends but Kara denied her and said she cannot go back to back and she had to get back in line (even though my mom was in line right behind her). My parents had to just do one by themselves. This is not even the most disappointing part... After running around ALL party -- I finally had a chance to bring the birthday girl (my daughter) up there at about 4:55 to hopefully get a caricature as a remembrance for her birthday. Rather than getting one, Kara denied saying she is only paid till 5pm and unapologetically no one had brought her a picture. Unbelievable! We paid $600 for a 4 hour service and although I could have easily asked her to extend just 15 minutes so my daughter could have a remembrance - I realized in that moment I was not paying her another dime. Definitely would not recommend Kara especially if you are wanting someone to really interact with your guests and give them the entire "guest experience" and not just get the drawing. I've worked with plenty of vendors over the years and this was by far the worst vendor I've worked with. read more

Kara was terrific! This is the second year in a row that we've asked her to be one of our Prom activities and she didn't disappoint! Have used Kara for several High School dances (Prom & Winter Formals) as a caricature artist. She has always has done a great job. Can handle large groups- and the finish drawing is put into a clear plastic cover- to protect it for the rest of the event. She had been professional and arrives on time and is flexible on where we put her during the event. We will continue to use her! read more
