Great station! Glen, Sadie and Kerrie know what they are doing behind ANY microphone (they supply…read morevoices for some advertisers as well) and along with Kevin and Liea in the office make this a station to reckon with.

The Drive radio station has a bi-monthly radio show called "Ask the Mayor". On the surface, it…read moreappears to be a legitimate and serious program to ask questions to the Chilliwack mayor Sharon G. However, when I emailed the show on November 5, 2015, regarding the parking problems on Matsqui Street in the Garrison Crossing, and lack of bylaw enforcement, the morning co-host Glen S. giggled like a little child trying not to upset his mother as he generalized about the parking problems to the mayor in the Garrison. Glen was not specific about my complaint. Then the mayor Sharon G. began to talk about the bylaw enforcement in the Promontory, while completely dodging my question about the lack of bylaw enforcement on Matsqui Street. Immediately, I emailed station manager Kevin G. and complained that my question had been made light of as they went onto another area. Mr. G. thought that my emails were statements, and not questions. I emailed Mr. G. back and pointed out my question in the email to the mayor which was not answered. Shortly after my email to Mr. G., morning co-host Glen S. brought up to the mayor about this very angry listener in the Garrison who had a "reputation" with the city regarding complaints. Right away, Glen diminished my complaint, and instead he focused on me in a demeaning manner as a complainer. Moreover, mayor Sharon G. was very patronizing and disrespectful as she told me that life was too short, and for me to take several deep breaths as she verbally demonstrated breathing in and out on the radio. I was told to call her. When the mayor does not want to answer any questions, or to even do anything about it, she tells the listener to call her. I have emailed this mayor once, so I know her game! Again, I emailed station manager Keven G. regarding the demeaning way that I had been portrayed. Mr. G. responded that he felt my "pain" and that I should call the mayor as she requested. Mr. G. then hoped that I would continue to listen to the radio station. Another listener emailed the mayor during the November 5th radio show and asked mayor Sharon G. why the city watered the boulevards with in ground sprinklers while water restrictions were in effect. It must have infuriated the listener when the mayor said that the city watered the boulevards in order to prevent grass fires if a smoker threw a cigarette onto the boulevard. What flagrant disregard for the bylaws! Do as I say, not as I do. What about our lawns mayor Sharon G.? What if a smoker throws their cigarette onto our lawns in Chilliwack? I guess we would call the bylaw officer who would not come by. If you can believe it, they have only one bylaw officer for the whole south side of the Trans Canada Highway in Chilliwack! As for FABMAR COMMUNICATIONS and The Drive, Chilliwack is a small city. The word will get out how you treat your listeners, especially business client listeners. Your karma will come.
