Having lived in Segovia for 5 months, I found it super convenient to have this little coffee shop that was the closest thing you could really get to an American-styled coffee shop in Segovia; a place where you could sit all day and do homework or catch up with a friend. I recommend getting one of their many specials on the back wall behind the cashier. With these specials, you can get a latte and a croissant for around 2€. Also, don't miss out on drinking orange juice while you're in Spain - it's incredibly sweet and delicious!

The bartender was a nice gentleman who gave us Pintxos with our drinks and the most wonderful tinto I had had so far in Spain. It was from Carlos Serres from Rioja a 2010 Crianza. I didn't know about wine in Spain so I first thought that Crianza was a grape but it isn't. Rioja is an AVA but Crianza is a level of quality. Wines from Rioja labeled 'Crianza' will have a similar taste profile (mostly Tempranillo and often blended with Grenache). Crianza is not the bottom but it is next. The top two are Reserva and Gran Reserva. You can easliy find Reservas in a store but most of the new release Gran Reservas are around 10 years old+ when you first see them and cellar up to 30 years. You have to hunt for these. So in a bar if you order a tinto Rioja Crianza, you are going to get a decent glass of wine from place to place. The wine was lovely. The tapas were awesome and plentiful. We went back in the late afternoon but the kitchen was closed, the tapas were gone and they were pouring a different wine. Timing is everything, come early :-)

The tea water tasted like chlorine and my friends churros were cold and barely tasted like a churro at all, they were bland and oily and not covered in sugar, she had to use the sugar packet I was given and dump it all over to make it taste good. The second time going there however, I ordered the same tea and the tea was a lot better. My friend didn't have the churros again. I give this place 3 stars though because it has a nice and warm vibe. I will probably go back and maybe try other stuff on the menu.
