You can make reservations at Kannelloni via OpenTable. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere. You drive through fields of nothing (it feels like nothing in the dark) and then come across this restaurant building that looks like a BJ's with a parking lot.
It is comfortingly decorated on the inside. The table accessories are appropriately rustic. They brought out the appetizers on a long board and set them down on tin cans.
We ordered a couple of appetizers, which were more than enough for our large group: Antipasti (Gegrilltes Gemüse, Gamba, ital. Salami, Landschinken, Büffelmozzarella , Grissini und Vitello Tonnato) and Mamma Mia (Gegrilltes Gemüse, ital. Salami, Oliven, sonnengetrocknete Tomaten, Caponata di Milanzane, Landschinken, Büffelmozzarella, Vitello Tonnato und Grissini). I also had the tomato soup, which was fine.
There were many appealing options on the menu. I chose the Gebratenes Lachsfilet (auf Zitronen-Pasta, mit warmer Antipasti). The salmon was good and the lemon pasta was a highlight.
The bathrooms are worth a visit although I'm told the men's restroom is more interesting than the women's. read more
