Attorney Lisa Wong ]successfully defended me in a civil harassment restraining order proceeding. I…read morewas extremely happy with both the outcome and, particularly, the value of the legal services she provided. I chose SD Criminal Defense Center for several reasons. At the time, the firm had more than 91 Yelp reviews with a 4.9-star rating. I also appreciated that civil harassment restraining order defense was on the firm's website. I even used ChatGPT to help research and compare San Diego attorneys, but it had not initially shown the firm despite its ratings and substantial number of reviews. Yelp and other platforms don't always make the most highly rated and reviewed providers easy to find. From our initial telephone conversation, my impression of Lisa was very positive. I was very distressed by the case, but she did an excellent job of keeping me focused on the issues and what needed to be done. Of all the attorneys I consulted, Lisa was the only one willing to proceed on the existing court date without first requesting a continuance. This required a considerable amount of work on a very tight timeline. I spoke with her on Monday, and by Tuesday, we had prepared and filed our response petition in time to serve the opposing parties. The other attorneys I consulted quoted considerably higher fees and suggested additional motions that would have increased my legal expenses. Lisa, on the other hand was focused on addressing the immediate legal issues efficiently and effectively. Throughout the process, she was communicative and patient in answering all my questions. I never felt that I was left wondering what was happening or what needed to happen next. If you are looking for a San Diego civil harassment restraining order attorney, particularly if you need someone to defend against a temporary restraining order (TRO), I would highly recommend Lisa Wong and SD Criminal Defense Center. She provided excellent representation.

When my daughter was involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a…read moremotorcyclist, our family found ourselves facing what we believed were completely unwarranted vehicular manslaughter charges. It was the most difficult and stressful experience we have ever endured, lasting over two and a half years. From day one, Jay Monico and the entire team at Sevens Legal stood beside us. We weren't looking for an attorney who would simply encourage a plea deal--we needed someone who would thoroughly investigate the facts, challenge the prosecution, and fight tirelessly for justice. Jay exceeded every expectation. The evidence showed that the motorcyclist was allegedly racing at an extremely high speed on a city street and should not have been operating the motorcycle. Despite those facts, charges were still pursued against my daughter. Throughout the case, Jay remained steadfast, fearless, and completely committed to ensuring that the law--not emotion or public pressure--guided the proceedings. One of the things that impressed us most was Jay's willingness to stand his ground. He challenged the prosecution at every turn and never backed down when he believed the law was on our side. His persistence, meticulous preparation, and knowledge of evolving California case law ultimately helped secure a favorable outcome for my daughter after more than two and a half years of litigation. This case took an enormous emotional and financial toll on our family, but having Jay in our corner gave us confidence that someone was truly fighting for us every step of the way. We will always be grateful for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering dedication. If you are looking for a criminal defense attorney who genuinely cares about his clients, is exceptionally knowledgeable, and will fight relentlessly for the best possible outcome, I cannot recommend Jay Monico and Sevens Legal highly enough. I sincerely hope I never need a criminal defense attorney again, but if I--or anyone I care about--ever does, Jay Monico will be my very first call.
