They had just opened and I walked in to peer at their selections. Horchata! Sold. And then Turron. Ice cream selected for 2.70. The Horchata featured chufa's distinct flavor quite well. The Turron had the ground almond taste that I'm accustomed to. I was pleased with both flavors, the density, and their lasting impression on my palate.

I got there at about 3:00 and there was only one other person there so it was a pretty ideal work environment. I ordered a red velvet cupcake, which was pretty dry but had good flavor at least, and a chai green tea, which was pretty standard. After about a half hour the place started to fill up and at 4:00 it was completely full, and they shut off the wi-fi. Turns out they don't allow laptops after 4 because they get too busy, so if you're going to come here to get work done make sure you come when they have no reason to kick you out. Also, the cupcake and café combo is only supposed to be good Monday through Thursday, so beware (lucky for me the guy behind the counter was as clueless about this rule as I was). To sum up: If you're looking to get some work done, come here early. If you want combo deals, come Monday through Thursday. This place got very busy so I imagine there other desserts are pretty good. Cute atmosphere too and the tables are high enough to stand at if you prefer.

These aren't anything more complex than fruit slushies, but absolutely essential after a few hours of trekking around Madrid.
