About a…read moreyear before our move, we were so fortunate to find our wonderful Realtor, Karla Campos-Fuentes. From the beginning, Karla diligently, sent us potential properties and advised us about areas we might like in advance of our move. We traveled to Long Beach and she spent an entire day with us showing properties and just driving us around Long Beach so we could familiarize ourselves with neighborhoods. Our goal was to purchase a property this past summer, and she found the perfect condominium that checked all of the boxes for our priorities. Through every step of the way, Karla has always been available to answer all of our questions and clarify any confusion. She has put us in touch with contractors and a wonderful lender, which are invaluable and vital resources. There are challenges, moving from one state to another, familiarizing ourselves with HOA's and condominium parameters, and understanding new regulations since we had not purchased a home for over 30 years. Karla was also very present and mindful of the fact that we are an older retired couple with some mobility challenges. This summer when we traveled to Long Beach to see our condominium and begin the purchase process, Karla resolved all challenges that arose including switching lenders, banks, and addressing HOA requirements. These are complex issues, particularly working, long distance. Karla and her team and the lender she put us in touch with all worked with us to make this process as efficient as possible. She checks in with us regularly and is always available to answer our many questions. Karla is also mindful of how stressful undertaking a move can be, addressing all our concerns. Karla is always positive, supportive, and solutions-driven. She engenders trust and confidence in a very complicated process. She continues to help us orchestrate our move from New York to California. We are so fortunate we found such a savvy, kind person who we also consider a dear friend.

Our family has had the pleasure to work with both Sam and Thyda on separate home buying occasions…read more They are a super duo! We worked with Sam in mid-2016 to find a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in the Long Beach area at an affordable price range. The inventory in Long Beach for this type of property is pretty low. Sam was able to find us a ton of great options and also helped us expand our search to nearby locations. But low and behold, Sam helped us secure a home in the Signal Hill area in only 5 months! An engagement, wedding and a baby later, we needed to find a single-family home. In comes Thyda to the rescue. We started our search in late December 2020 in the Inland Empire and fast forward to today (late January 2021) and we found our dream home. Surprisingly, new build communities are also competitive, but Thyda worked really hard to make sure we were on the proper lists ASAP and diligently followed up with the builders so we could jump on any offers. The magic of the Sim Team is that they are the agents of the people. They are really patient, pleasant to work with and are both really hard workers. They are responsive, resourceful - a team that is always on your side. They have really strong connections (or will build new relationships) with the right people (other agents, builders, loan officers, etc.) so that you have more opportunities and more options. They are so approachable and answer every little question. They always want to make sure you're comfortable with every decision you make. I highly recommend Sim Realty for a seamless and positive home buying experience.

Trusting this friend, we reached out to Thyda and started our home search. During this crazy pandemic housing market being so competitive, Thyda was SO patient with us during our house hunt and was more than willing to view over 30 houses with us. She was always reminding us NOT to settle for a home and NEVER pressured us to put a bid in for a house we weren't completely sure about. Anytime we had questions regarding a home, she responded within MINUTES or at least gave me updates on her research. She went to all the house tours with us to make sure we found THE one and had all the MLS info printed out for each property. With her patience and help, we found our home that met all our requirements (good school district, no HOA, no melloroos, single story family house, within our budget) and even followed up with us after the purchase to make sure our movein went well. Thyda is highly recommended as she is real honest and personable. My husband and I are SO glad we took his friend's advice and reached out to Thyda!

An unexpected hiccup occurred with the appraisal which could have caused tremendous disruption to the process. Maggie, however, liaised superbly with my broker, the seller's agent, and all other involved parties, and everything went as smoothly as one could wish given the V.A.'s minor foot-dragging.
