I started with a domestic Amber Ale (Maku Brewing) half pint draft -- great that they offer smaller sizes so you can sample around. Maybe I have commitment issues. The beer selection reflects the Belgian theme of the place. I'm more of an IPA guy, and took a pint of their only IPA tap (Jaipur, Thornbridge Brewery). For food, I had the schnitzel, which was solid -- evidenced by my cleaned plate. Finished with a Stella for liquid dessert. If your beer tastes favor Central Europe and/or you're looking for a quiet, classier place to wine and dine, I highly recommend Tuulensuu. The staff were also friendly and knowledgeable. Book a table in advance -- the place filled up quickly.

UkkoMetso's specialty is their great selection of beers, local and imported. Their food isn't too bad either but I believe people come here primarily for enjoying a great beer in a nice environment. On the terrace beer selection is not as great as indoors but on warm afternoons and evenings also the terrace / patio is a good alternative. I've eaten at UkkoMetso a few times now. I've had the AkkaMetso burger twice which is the chicken burger and pretty ok though I wouldn't mind making it a bit more spicy. Somehow the sauce just lacks a "special" taste. The fries that came with the burger were great. One time I also ordered the portion with veggie balls and really enjoyed it. And the dessert was a delight too! On this early Wednesday evening visit, I chose to sit at the bar desk -- oddly a rare option in Finland. I started with a Radbrew Ranger APA -- a domestic craft brew on tap here. I'd had it before and it did not disappoint -- tasty as usual. For dinner I had the escargot with goat cheese -- savory, but needed more bread to soak up all of that delicious fat. This was the first time I've dined at UkkoMetso, and it was a pleasant experience. Good service, good brew selection, good food. Solid all around. My only real critique is the beer prices -- hard for me to stomach dropping nearly 10 EUR for a pint of domestic craft brew. If you're looking for that upscale pub vibe, UkkoMetso is sure to please. While the prices are a little steep for this to be my regular watering hole, for sure I'll return :)
