I made an appt for the Glen Burnie office. I was really looking forward to going because I really…read moreneed the treatment. And then I chipped my tooth and had to make an urgent appt with the Dentist for the same day of my vein appt. I called and asked to reschedule my appt and was told I would be charged a $50 fee for not rescheduling 72 hours before my appt. NO ONE told me this when I made my appt because if they did, I would have found another doctor. 72 hours before a scheduled appt is ridiculous. Also, the only appt she offered to me was at 7 a.m. in the morning. I asked to speak to the Office Manager and was told the office was closed and only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So, I was speaking to a scheduling service and not the actual doctor's office. I ended up cancelling my whole appt because this person was not making it easy on me to reschedule my appt and wanted to charge me $50! I told her to just cancel the whole thing, and I would find another doctor. I am so disappointed.

However Donna, one of the…read moreoffice staff is extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and dishonest. 11/06/23 - I called to speak with Nurse  Shaylyn or Nurse Shannon. Donna told that they were were not available at the time. I asked for a return call. No one called. 11/07/23 - I called the office again because I have yet to receive a call from Nurse Shannon or Nurse Shaylyn. I mentioned that I previously left two requests for a return call and no one called. Donna informed me that Nurse Shannon says that she was waiting to talk to Nurse Shaylyn about a document that I requested. In either of my phone calls. I never mentioned why I was requesting a return call because I wanted to report Donna's demeanor. Moments later, I visited the office and requested to speak with Nurse Shannon. I was told that she was not available and that she had no availability to speak with me today. I was now told that I needed an appointment to speak with Nurse Shannon and that the next availability was on 11/14/23. I insisted that I would be willing to wait however long it took to speak with Nurse Shannon because this is a time sensitive issue. Donna called the police to tell them that I would not leave. Aww I accepted the 11/14/23 appointment and left the office. I have never been treated this way by a doctor or their staff and I do not appreciate being treated in this manner. I am left with no other option than to leave this review and find another P.C.P.

Secondly went the other day for a weight loss appointment, but i was not feeling good at all. (Chest pain, coughing a lung up, and sore throat) i put a mask on as soon as i got in the office for that reason. I ask could she exam me to see if i had a chest cold? I heard the assistant ask and someone say no i don't have time, in fact send her to another dr? Another dr comes in and I ask for an examination. They wouldnt exam me because that's not what i was there for? Umm your my primary im sick why cant we do both? They said billing issues? Long story short, went to Urgent care next day I l have pneumonia and bronchitis. They couldn't take the time to exam me. Feeling a little patronized. Changing my primary care.

Well, this is different than what I'm used to. I came here to see my optometrist as she alternates…read morebetween the Ft Meade VA Outpatient Clinic and here at Glen Burnie. First of all, what's up with the Security Guard at the entrance? I have so many questions. Is the area unsafe? Does he break up fights? I don't get it. Secondly, why don't they use the VA Police? Because the quality ........ anyway let's talk about the clinic. I walk in and the check-in windows are RIGHT there. I didn't know the procedure so I just stood right there. But, you've got to move to the left and wait in line (they actually have it marked). The woman I dealt with was extremely helpful. I appreciated that. Once checked in I waited. I waited a long time, but I knew my optometrist was running behind because I saw here usher somebody back. In the end she was short-staffed as her assistant called out. I like Mrs. Ciocco. She's very thorough, personable, and explains everything in terms I can understand. The clinic is in a business park so there's plenty of parking and it's on the first floor level. This facility doesn't have a tv, but has plenty of seating. Apparently they offer a shuttle (I don't know where it goes, but I assume to the VA Hospital or other VA facility) because one of the young guys was waiting for it. My visit went well, but I think I'll schedule all future appointments at Fort Meade if I can.

I've also been here with an out of town family member who needed care. I would say Ive been here a total of 4x in 2.5 years. This place is efficient and well run. With clean and comfortable seating the front office staff is incredibly nice and caring. The wait times are not long at all in the front. Once in the back for care the kindness and the caring continues along with efficient service. The Billing department is great too. MUCH BETTER than going to an ER.

Mind you during that time . I was uninsured homeless and jobless . I have insurance that would cover today's visit but that would not help me due to a 25 year old bill . unconscionable.
