Probably for physicists and chemists only, this small but interesting memorial museum commemorates…read morethe work of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who discovered x-rays in 1895.
Awarded the first Nobel Prize in physics in 1901 for his discovery, the museum preserves his original laboratory, as well as some displays with other artefacts relating to his work. There's a description of his life, and a presentational film (in English and German) helps puts it all in perspective.
Entry is free: the site is now part of the University.
