An evening buffet at 82 kr (~9 euro) is undeniably unbeatable in Sweden. The buffet consist of a couple of hot dishes and some cold salads, hummus, tzatziki, bread and a soup etc. To be honest the decor in kind of dreadful, hello 80ies! Come during the lunch rush, however, and it will likely be packed. Diners can choose from various entries or eat from the buffet, which (as I've been told) is relatively the same from day-to-day. What the actual foods are is a bit unclear if you don't speak Swedish, but nothing I had was bad. And everything in the restaurant is clearly labeled as to whether or not it's vegan, which is a huge plus. The pricing is acceptable (79 SEK, or $12, for the buffet) for Swedish standards. It's not a place I'd frequent on a regular basis, but it's worth going back to more than once. My meal was unique, tasty, and filling.

They also have a lovely lobby with a bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet is amazing. It's huge! So many things! The people are lovely. Absolutely lovely. We had just arrived in Europe and we were trying to get our bearings. We had a lot of questions and they answered everything very patiently. Loved that! The hotel is immaculately clean. This matters to me so much. This was a really great day and I'm very thankful we found this place. We absolutely loved Gothenburg. The train station was literally across the street. We bought day passes and rode all over the city. It was fantastic. Also, it's walking distance to a lot of really good shopping and restaurants. You can walk everywhere! Highly recommend!

The receptionist *should* know better than that!!! Also, the rooms run smaller, similar to that of a cruise ship! There's hardly any room to get around by the entrance at the door! The bathtub poses a potential hazard since it's required that you climbed into the tub to get a shower! Finally, there's no complimentary vanity items or lotions, plus disposable slippers!

But we decided to give this place a try, as they had a vegan combo: 209 SEK per person for 6 dishes. The food took 30-40 mins to come out. When it did, the portions were on the small side, served mostly in bowls on top of the injera (never seen that before), and coming only with one piece of injera per person for scooping. The mains--especially the misir wot--were very oily, unnecessarily so, which may be why they don't let them rest on the injera. We enjoyed most of the dishes despite the oiliness, but the wanted more food than we were given. After we finished, it took a long time to flag someone down to pay the bill. So, 3/5 for the food quality, but downgrading because of the poor value for the quantity and the very slow service.

Everything in the veggie platter was exceptional. I wish I knew the names of all the individual dishes, but they all tasted so so good. My personal favorites were the darker brown lentil (?) dish and the potato/carrot dish. Both of them had such lovely flavors, I really don't know if I've had anything like it before. Their injera was also so good, and I'm so glad I ordered the coffee. With a little bit of sugar (or a lot if you're like me and can't handle black coffee), it's such a lovely & strong coffee. We dined outside, so I only saw the interior when I went to the bathroom, but it was magical inside! The lighting made it look so cozy and intimate. The service was really great, too. Both of the staff members who helped us were really friendly and polite + offered to explain each dish in case we had never encountered it before! 10/10 experience, I sincerely hope to come back soon!

Colorful artwork covers the walls and stained glass pieces are in the windows. Blankets and throw pillows are on the benches lining the walls, and there are lots of plants of many different varieties all over the place in pots. I would describe the vibe in here South American meets "hipster without trying to be hipster". The baristas are very nice, and helpful with suggestions. We ordered a cappuccino and a 50/50 (espresso/milk, I don't remember the name) and it cost us 70 sek, so it wasn't too expensive. The coffees were very pretty, finally worth an Insta post lol. There IS wifi, see photos for password :D I would definitely recommend this place if you're a coffee nut, or if you want a quaint location for a coffee date.

Walking in, the atmosphere was pretty casual with people talking it up with one another and enjoying coffee. The baristas at the counter were super welcoming and helpful when it came to choosing which drink I wanted to get. I decided to get a latte with an espresso made from Ethiopia beans and my friend got a pourover (V60) made from the Costa Rica beans. The latte was amazing and it was super smooth with the Ethiopia espresso. I tried some of the Costa Rica pourover and it was great, it had a nice and light taste to it and I loved it so much I decided to buy a bag of the Costa Rica beans. I also loved how they serve their pourovers in an Erlenmeyer flask, it made me so happy! As I was enjoying my drink, I began to talk with one of the baristas about coffee and it was great to meet such people that were so enthusiastic about coffee living their dreams and making this amazing coffee. I know I'll be back here again whenever I'm back in Sweden. Until then, I'll be missing this place on the daily.
