His opinion was different than the doctor we went to a couple weeks before. Dr Kasthuri was right and saved my dad many months of pain. He went above and beyond spending time speaking to the infectious disease doctor and they both were in agreement . He did a procedure on my dad's back , then a few weeks later he cleared out his veins in his leg and put a stent in his leg. I feel he is one of those doctors that make a difference! I feel a real trust in him and his team! I would definitely recommend this team to anybody! Couldn't be more pleased.

I had asked Matthew if there was something i was doing incorrectly when leaving a urine sample. He responded with "it's difficult for women, and I'm not going to be the one to explain the logistics of how to do it to you" and also "we are surgical, if we don't see something anatomically incorrect.. there isn't a lot we can do to help you further" Firstly, it is your job as a provider to explain to me exactly how i should be able to give you a urine sample, especially if i have questions as your patient. I have never wanted to tell a male provider to grow up. Him being uncomfortable about my female anatomy made me feel uncomfortable with him treating me as a patient. Secondly, urology means that you are a specialist in the urinary tract.. not that you're just a person there to cut me open. And if you cannot help me, it is absolutely your job to point me in the right direction. This, by the way, was coming from a PA.. not from a surgeon. The whole visit was a disappointment. I did not feel like Matthew cared for me as a patient, and i did not feel like he was willing to help in anyway.

I had a partial knee replacement and was kept overnight due to an error in scheduling my physical…read moretherapy, which is essential upon release. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from the start. During pre-registration, I was completely confused about how I would receive my post-surgery medications. The nurse handling my intake incorrectly told me that my doctor didn't prescribe meds to be delivered at the hospital. I had to check MyChart myself and confirm that, in fact, my prescriptions were being handled there and would be delivered bedside. This unnecessary confusion could have been avoided with better communication. My actual hospital stay was even worse. My pain catheter became unplugged, and I didn't realize it for hours until I felt something wet. The nurse never checked it, leaving me in excruciating pain without proper management. Twice, I was the one who discovered the issue. My IV also blew, and the beds were so thin they caused serious back discomfort. The nurse assigned to me was very new and lacked the experience to handle my care properly. To make matters worse, I was denied the progression of pain medication, and I still don't understand why. Thankfully, the next shift was a completely different experience. A more experienced nurse took over, got me in tip-top shape, and both she and the floor supervisor apologized profusely. While I appreciate their efforts to make things right, the initial experience was unacceptable. This facility needs to improve its communication, staff training, and oversight--especially for post-surgical care. I was very disappointed and frustrated at the least but never was rude. I just cried when morning staff had told me my doctors orders regarding prn control and how the night nurse refused me this medication. So many hours in pure agony. The Night Nurse actually quoted me saying did you know that most addictions start right after surgery! She also said oh you'll be taking pills because you're prescribed pills when you go home yet I'm not home right now? These are word for word.

Then I walked an entire block on it out of shock. By the time this man got to my foot in the E.R. It needed to be scraped clean inside and out, pinned back together. It took four separate surgeries. I am NOT a nice patient under any medications. He was always always more than kind. His surgery was as good as it could get. Most football players do not recover as fast as I have from this and mine was about as bad as it could get. Had an open fracture, busted all metatarsals. Miraculously I am already walking. My accident was August 10th. I have been walking since September 19th!! He is an AWESOME surgeon!!! Even better person! More than recommend!! He goes out of his way for his patients. Even us riled and wild ones. I will never be able to truly thank him enough!

I placed SEVERAL…read morecalls to the nurse with specific questions about my upcoming care and she never returned my call until I started calling there repeatedly (I was getting irritated.) She finally called me back after about three weeks. So I asked her some questions about my concerns and such and she said she would get back to me with the answers from the doctor. Well, a day later I got a call from them saying, Sorry, we no longer accept your insurance and new patients. This is NOT a coincidence! They are uncaring, lazy and disrespectful. Go to Dr. Yang instead.
