This spot has been a godsend for finding all the spices I need to keep my home kitchen stocked. For reference, here's just a small slice of what I regularly pick up from International Foods and Spices because I cook way too much pho, jerk chicken, lemongrass beef, and al pastor: Allspice Clove Cumin Annatto/Achiote Cinnamon (both cassia and regular) Coriander Various peppercorns Anise Star Anise Bay leaf Garam masala whole spice mix (and preground) Fenugreek (methi) Dried peppers Kashmiri chili powder ... and much much more! That's not even counting the staples like tahini, ghee, and various nuts, grains, dried beans, and other things. The only thing I'd say I wish they had more of was a better fresh herb selection. One quarter to half of the flavor in my cooking comes from fresh herbs, and if they had thai basil, mint, and other things like that regularly, it'd truly be a one stop shop for flavor. If you make flavorful food, International Food and Spices has got your back. And pick up a samosa and some saag while you're at it.

I love their selection and prices, both for staples and spices as well as prepared and easy prep…read morefoods. I go make the trip to West Philly about once a month to stock up.

This sprawling supermarket has an incredible fresh produce section, an unmatched area for all kinds of fresh fish (both ones you've heard of and have never heard of before), a lot of really good meals to-go and so many fun and exciting options. Now that last bit might make you think I'm some robot leaving a 5 star review (maybe that's what a robot would say) but conspiracy theories aside, I truly love this gem of cherry hill. It's always super clean, staff are really helpful, and it's truly a place I love to support and shop at when I'm in the area. I'll go 20 minutes out of my way to shop here. That's says something. I encourage anyone in the area or someone who is looking for a new shopping experience to please give Hung Vuong a visit! The ONLY thing about this store (which isn't a bad thing by any means) is that MOST products are labeled in the importing countries native language. Whether it's Chinese, Vietnamese or Japanese, just make sure you use a camera translation app to double check products that you aren't entirely certain about! Love this place!

Unfortunately, my experience here was very different from what I'm used to back home. We went to the butcher section to purchase meat, and the interaction my parents had with the staff was extremely disappointing. My parents were asking questions about ground pork, as it was out, and wanted to know if there was a leaner cut that could be ground for them. While I stood back to avoid blocking other customers, I saw the butchers behind the counter repeatedly motioning for my parents to go away, using a shooing hand gesture. What made this especially upsetting was that the butchers appeared to be around the same age as my parents and were also Asian. Regardless of how busy it was or whether they were having a bad day due to the holiday rush, that kind of dismissive and disrespectful behavior toward elderly customers is unacceptable. The experience felt unwelcoming and showed a clear lack of respect. The hand gestures toward senior customers came across as a microaggression and were deeply disappointing. Because of this experience, I won't be returning and will choose a different Asian market when visiting in the future.
