I am hoping the Kebabs and Burgers here taste better, since the Biryani and Karahi that I ordered was just average. Biryani did not have much of a flavor and there was barely any meat. Even the meat that was there, was more like shredded pieces of meat, which is not something you would see in a regular Briyani. Karahi was a complete let down. I was expecting the meat to be tender but it was just too hard and chewy.

Food: 3.75/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 *** TIP*** Go park behind the building! Otherwise, you might spend some time circling the area for a spot. I ordered the custom lamb platter for $15 in-person. The employee was friendly and answered all questions I had about different things on the menu. The food was fresh and came out after 10 minutes or so. It was good. The rice had these raisins which were a nice surprise, and the mixture of fresh and pickled vegetables and lamb went well together. I would be curious what their other options taste like another time.

Ordered two skewers, chicken tandoori and lamb tikka. Flavor was good. But so disappointed with the quantity. I basically paid 9$ each for a leg of chicken and four tiny tikka pieces of lamb. Probably will never order from here again. Way overpriced for location and quantity.

Mouth watering burgers, gyro platters, and more! This place is where the real eats are and I highly recommended as either a formal or casual spot for delish Afghani food!

Ok let's get to this review. There's definitely some pros and cons that I found First off, as soon as you walk in, it's very spacious and as you arrive towards where you. Order, you can see an idea of how you can order. About 10 minutes later you'll get an amazing platter of food. I got the mixed gyro platter with onions, peppers, chopped pita bread with sauce on the side. As soon as I got home and began eating, I really started falling in love with the flavors and spices used. Reminded me very much of a biriyani type rice with the additions, but the amazing flavors of gyro and chicken. Both proteins were chopped up finely, along with the pita which was chopped up into fine little pieces as well. My biggest con - I feel that the rice - protein ratio was way off. There was such an overwhelming amount of rice as compared to the proteins. I'm sure if I ask them next time, they'd be willing to fix that, but I was definitely expecting more of a 50-50 split. Also wish I could have gotten some extra pita, because it was hard to find much of it in all the rice -- again something I'll be asking for next time I head out there. Lastly, the hot sauce isn't really hot. Reminds me of hot sauce packets from the Chinese takeout. Also, be prepared to park on the street. I had to circle around twice before I found a semi-illegal spot to park at temporarily. LOL

I've been a fan of Kabab Paradise since I used to frequent the original shop in Lake Hiawatha when it first opened years ago. Kabab Paradise' platters were one of the few dishes I would crave after moving to Bergen County and anytime I had business in Parsippany, I would try to stop by. Hearing about the Teaneck location brought so much joy to my life, especially in the midst of this pandemic. Kabab Paradise's platters are comforting and feels like home. They're also extremely generous with their portions - I ate 3 meals from 1 platter. I've recommended KP to a lot of my friends who live in the area and they all agree that it's WAY better than Halal Guys. Make sure to get the mixed gyro platter with carrot and raisin rice - you will not regret it.

Interior/Inside- Logo

Many have awaited for Kabab Paradise (a growing NJ family restaurant chain with three other locations) to make their debut in Bergen County. While we are sad to see Addy's BBQ go, Kabab Paradise is a welcome addition to the Teaneck/Bergen County food scene! With their expansive menu full of delicious items, quick service, and family friendly ambience, Kabab Paradise will soon become a local favorite. You've got to try their mixed gyro platter (with Qabuli rice)- their take on the classic halal guys platter (which is just as good if not better), the combination kabab platter (with Qabuli rice) for an excellent take on a more traditional Afghan dish, and their burgers/wings. Most of all, I'm just glad I won't have to drive 30+ minutes to get some of their tasty food when I'm visiting family and friends in NJ!

Disappointing Lamb Gyro Salad, nothing like other KP locations.

This place should not be called Kabab Paradise. It's false advertisement when you are expecting a certain quality and standard after going to the original location in Lake Hiawatha. What a disappointment for around $70 of food for 2 adults and 2 kids. If this place wasn't being compared to their brand name in 2 other locations, I'd consider giving them 3 stars but when being compared to the 5 star KP in other locations they're less than 2. The Jupiter Burger is similar to what we expected but the Solar Wings were lacking in sauce big time. The Lamb Gyro Platter over rice and Lamb Gyro Platter over salad were smaller in portion size and less quality in ingredients. The salad was a few pieces of romaine lettuce, a few broken olives, and cucumber with the skin still on it. It's like they use the same ingredients but take no pride in what they are serving. Lastly, the huge negative to the experience is the chilli cheese fries which my family gets from Kabab Paradise all the time. We always order a large fries with extra chili cheese. For some reason, this location decided to put an absurd amount of cold nacho cheese goo all over french fries. When we explained that's not what we ordered and we've never had that from KP before the guy behind the counter said he likes it that way and couldn't do anything about it. He offered plain fries as a replacement, but we already had 3 other orders of plain fries with our burgers and wings. He then did not refund the order of very grosse nacho cheese goo fries. We won't be back. We expected this to be a similar in flavor and quality to the other Kabab Paradise locations. Again, they should consider a name change.

The waiter was super nice and gave us recommendations so we ended up ordering the beef sambosa, the kabuli palow with chicken, the kebab combination ii, and the okra. Loved the beef sambosa, the waiter actually brought them out for us to try before we ordered and told us to eat it with the spice condiments on the side with a white sauce. Very delicious! The okra was delicious and paired well with the rice. The kabuli palow had raisins and pistachios in the rice that was really delicious and added a nice sweet and savory element. The meats for the kebab combination were all delicious, spiced, and juicy. The waiter also gave us chickpeas which were so flavorful and would definitely recommend! Maybe we've been spoiled by our favorite restaurant back in St. Louis (Afghan Kabob House) but Ariana's was underwhelming. The server was friendly but the food was just ok. Pricey due to the location as expected but also underwhelming taste wise. We got the aushak, mantu, and kadoo bolanee (pumpkin curry with bread). All three surprisingly looked very similar (photos look almost identical as they had the same sauce drizzled with yogurt). The aushak has leeks inside while the mantu has beef. The beef was drier than we were used to and the aushak less flavorful with overpowering onion. The pumpkin was cooked in what looked like the same sauce as well but the baked bread it came with was good. They did offer complimentary chickpeas which were tastier however. Maybe other items on the menu would've been better picks!

I got two meals out of mine. I got the gyro platter and it probably was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. I thought the chicken was seasoned and flavorful. But by far, the best part was the white sauce. I would pair it with the mango lassi and it was such a great explosion of flavors - both savory and sweet. I will say they ask whether you're okay with onions and raisins in your platter. I liked them but I know raisins might not be what most people prefer to add to their rice. Service was fast. You can either order at the front table or at your seat. They got the food in a reasonable amount of time. The place looks small from the outside, but when you walk in, there's a back room worth of 30 people worth of seating. It's extremely cozy inside. There's also a parking lot right next to the restaurant and also across the street. The lot right next door is kinda small though, so you might need to loop around. Parking shouldn't be a problem and you can get a really good stop if you're lucky.

I really enjoyed my meal overall, I would say the apps and mains were both delicious but I would give an edge to the mains. The food: Borani Banjan- This was the highlight app for me with some freshly made Afghai Naan. Man this was so good and a must order. The eggplant was cooked perfectly. Bamia- This was like a stewed Okra and I loved this dish, the okra was cooked down but the flavor was so damn good. Mantu- This was a nice delicate dumpling, it was made well but because of the cumin I couldn't help think it reminded me of Tex Mex food. Aushuk- This was OK, it was kinda strange because there was this fermented flavor to it that kinda bothered me. Chicken Afghani Kabab- I am shocked to say this but the chicken was my favorite protein. It was perfection, it was perfectly juicy with a nice smokey outer char, this was amazing. Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao- This was a braised lamb shank and was no teeth required tender. It so incredibly delicate and so delicious. Salmon- Fat slabs of salmon cooked to perfection with a nice outer smokey char. So good. Lamb Kabab- This was fine but not as exciting as the above. The lamb was chewier than I was hoping but the flavor was nice. Beef Kofta- It was like a ground meat patty. It was ok, it was a bit chewy and a bit dry but it was alright. The two I want to try on my next visit is the shrimp and the lamb chops, can't wait for a second visit.

For two millennia, Afghanistan, a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia,…read moreboasts a rich and diverse culinary heritage. The country's cuisine reflects its multicultural history, with influences from Persian, Central Asian, Indian, and even Mediterranean culinary traditions. Though the food was served quickly, it wasn't made quickly. Rice, particularly long-grain varieties like basmati, is blanched for a day before it's cooked. Meats are marinated in carefully prepared concoctions for hours to ensure tenderness. Lamb shanks are stewed for hours each day. Never had Afghan food? You're not alone. There are only a handful of Afghan restaurants in NJ. Located at the Westfield Plaza off of South Avenue E, some of my colleagues decided on takeout as first-timers for lunch, which came recommended as the food tastes and feels like home from this family-owned and -run establishment. We called the order in for their family platter consisting of Ground Chicken, Lamb and Beef Kababs, Garden Salad, Brown Rice, Fresh Naan Bread, and a side of Potatoes with a red sauce and yogurt. Upon arrival at Famous Kabab Cuisine, my colleague and I were greeted by the owner, Ahmed, who has more than 25 years of experience in making fresh bread and kabob, and informed us of a 5-minute wait. The food remained hot back into the office, would feed 5, and have some for leftovers. The kebabs (ground chicken, beef, and lamb) were well seasoned, tasted delicious, and paired beautifully with the brown rice. Top that bread or kebab with the trio of sauces. A white yogurt sauce with dill is very reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, a vinegary green sauce with cilantro and pureed walnuts, and, for those who do want the heat, a red habanero sauce that should have come with a warning. Overall, one can tell the food was made fresh with quality ingredients. It is not cheap, but one gets decent portions, which we can recommend.
