This place is such a hidden gem!! Run by two of the sweetest ladies, they put love and care into their healthy dog treats + cakes! I ordered a cake for my fur babies 14th birthday and it was the cutest little thing and my dog LOVED it. I really appreciated how it was healthy with the option to add chicken or beef, made fresh to order, and very affordable. Highly recommend!!

    Cute & handmade!! Thank you!

What a nice place. They have super healthy and affordable treats for your dog!! So great to utilize as high value treats without giving your dog junk food. I believe the owner has some certification in nutrition. They are so nice too! The woman that worked there was so nice and gave me a handmade puppy paw (see picture). Can't wait to go back!

This place deserves more love!! Picked up two healthy dog cakes made of fresh vegetables and chicken for $10 each!! My pups loved it!!! She also gave me a free handmade coaster in the shape of a paw print

I got Veggie Terrine cake (small) to celebrate my pup's first birthday. It was a colorful and pretty cake. My pup enjoyed different flavors layer after layer! The price was reasonable! The owner of the store is a nutritionist and carefully chooses everything goes in the mouth of our furry friends

I was having a rotten day, pulled up to their parking lot to gather my thoughts, then I saw this place and was immediately intrigued. I had an Americano, their rum dessert and the sand cookie. The coffee was made to perfection, perfect ratio of espresso and water. The dessert was to die for, so moist and every bite I took and sip of coffee healed my heart. Service: Engaging, friendly, treated me like a person, not the dismissive standoffish places across the South Bay. She was super nice, I believe she and her husband are the owners. Everyone was pleasant and the ambiance has great Feng Shui, good vibes and tastefully set up. I'm looking forward to returning.

DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! Recommended: Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with Bacon & Eggs.

Not sure what it is or if its me personally for whatever reason, but, despite being super friendly 100% of the time, the owner just acts kind of rude and unfriendly to me for literally no reason at all. I promise I don't smell bad and I brush my teeth before I come. I smell really good. I promise! I think the owner is probably on some hipster nonsense bs energy. Cool man...yeah man... It's a shame because its literally the owner who is the rude one in my experience, not any of his staff. His staff never gives me any of his same stinky vibes. P.U. dude... Sorry, but I don't need to feel tension or your bad energy when I'm paying you like $7 for a flat white that takes you 30 seconds to make for me. Sorry to be such a big bother for asking about some of your food items to see if they are vegan so I could possibly pay you more money to buy a food product from you. SORRY FOR TRYING TO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS BY GIVING YOU BUSINESS WITH MY MONEY!!! SORRY!!! Okay?!! :( When you started rolling your eyes or exhaling that passive aggressive breath out because I was such a bother to you, it was in that moment, yesterday morning, that I left Gitana knowing that I wouldn't come back. From now on, I'll go buy the $7 flat white at Caffe Luxxe in MB located the exact same distance from my place. They do not have delicious food like you do, but they also don't have any of your attitude. Positive attitude to your friendly customers is WAY MORE IMPORTANT than sticking to your pretentiousness and icky, terrible vibes. Sorry if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to be Oscar the Grouch to me while I was Elmo. Elmo sad now. Elmo REAL SAD. :( :( :( Caffe Luxxe it is because, even though I kind of like your café better, I like being treated with respect WAY MORE than I will ever like your coffee. It is what it is...

It's right off of Pier Avenue, on the way to the pier. You order and pay inside. You're given a number on your receipt, so before food and drinks are delivered to your table, staff call out your number. Staff are friendly and efficiently ring you up at the counter. I sat outdoors in their patio. There are mostly small round tables for two, so it's not really good for large groups, unless you want to move tables around and hog up all the outdoor space. There's also free entertainment, whether you want it or not. When I was here, it was a singer/acoustic guitar player. Fortunately, not bad or annoying. I ordered my usual, oak milk latte and avocado toast, which comes with a side salad. Get ready, it's a lot of hard boiled eggs strategically placed on a slice of toast. Regarding parking, I parked up the street where it was free and walked.

The food here is always prepared very well, and it's a fun place to take a break during your day and enjoy a drink or a meal. In terms of seating, Café Bonaparte has a great outdoor patio. There's a number of tables, and it's really a great place to sit back and enjoy the air of Hermosa Beach. The one thing I will say, is that every now and then, particularly on the weekends, you're gonna get some musician busking right next to this patio. If they're a good musician and a good singer, this isn't too bad. But, on the other hand, sometimes there's some busters in the area that just are not very enjoyable to listen to. This can really kill the experience. They also have a few tables for interior seating if that's your choice. Overall, this is a really great place in Hermosa Beach to grab a latte, maybe a bakery item, or a small meal. You can sit back and enjoy the day, have a great conversation with whoever you're with, or just enjoy the vibes of Hermosa Beach .

The inside is large and spacious with a lot of seats. It's really open and has nice natural lighting and there is also a little patio area with outdoor seating. I really liked the vibes of the cafe and that alone would convince me to come back. There's a lot of various merch on display as well as house coffee beans and bottled drinks. There's also an area with board games and books to borrow. The cashier at the front was really nice and chill. He listed the different options for milk for my lattes and refilled the water tank at the end of the station after being notified it was low. I love that they had a chilled water tank that's self serve in the cafe because that hit after my run. For drinks I got a teddy graham latte with oat milk which was a seasonal spring menu item. It was topped with cinnamon which gave it almost a little spicy kick in the beginning that I was not mad about. The oat milk was so creamy and I liked that the latte wasn't overly sweet. I also got a matcha latte with oat milk for my mother-in-law. The matcha was delicious and the drink again was not overly sweet which can be the case at some other places. I didn't get any food this time but the pastries were all very temping and looked so good on display. I also saw some other customers eating sandwiches that looked hearty so I may need to make another trip here to try out some of the food. Overall, really nice cafe that I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area!
