We used Platinum Dog Grooming from the time they opened and enjoyed them greatly. Unfortunately,…read morethey have been bought out by the K9 Inn. We brought our dog there on Aug 3rd, 2022, not knowing Platinum had been bought out. There was no sign of any price increases and they did not inform us of those increases at drop off time. With the old owners in charge, they would call us three, or sometimes four hours later to come pick up our dog. The new owners called a mere 1.5 hours later to pick up our German Shepherd and she didn't smell fresh like Platinum owners made her smell. They told me it would be a extra $10 for two squirts of fragrance. Fragrance? She should be cleaned properly so you don't have to put fluffy perfume cover-up on the dog. We declined the "cover-up" and asked for the total. The gentlemen asked me how much we paid before. I told him $50. He said it would be $55 as they had to raise prices. Ok, we accepted that, but barely two days later our inside dog smelled like she did when we brought her for the bath. Didn't understand why but we presumed that maybe because they had her out in one and a half hours versus three hours likely had something to do with it. So today, September 14, 2022, we tried again thinking last time they were new at the business and maybe they just had a bad day on August 3rd. When I picked our dog up this afternoon I asked what type of shampoo they used last time because she smelled two days later. The clerk said she'd check and came back to tell me they used a different type of shampoo on her today. It was time to pay and, of course, I thought it was $55 like last time. The lady then told me it would be $85. I'm sorry, what? For what? The clerk informed me, "We used the Dremel to do her nails". I replied I never asked for that service, so she removed the fee. Then she told me the new price was now $65. What? Why? "Because she is a big dog", said the clerk. I decided not to argue with her about $10, but to instead "vote with my feet" so I paid $65 but we will never return. Here's a suggestion. Why not tell everyone you, for the second time in as many months, have raised the prices! I departed for home but driving down the road, I had to drop the windows because our dog smelled like the perfume counter at the department store. I will be looking for another place for her to have a bathed. If you decide not to heed my warning and venture inside to have any kind of pet treatments performed, BUYERS BEWARE and make sure you pin K9 Inn down on the price before you drop off your four-legged family member.

The office staff is very friendly and on top of their game booking timely appointments, filling medication refills, and consulting one of the Vets on patient questions and getting back with their customers quickly. Their efficiency reduces wait times for nervous pets. The Vets and their assistants are very personable and wonderful with their furry patients. They take time to ask and answer questions about the animal's health, care, and behavior. Treatment is as noninvasive as possible. I have been through the hardest of all times at this facility when it came time to let our 16yr old American Eskimo Dog, Charlie go. The staff made a heartbreaking scenario much less painful, both for me and for Charlie by putting us in a quiet back room. They encouraged me to sit on the floor with Charlie on my lap for a time, so I could say goodbye. When I was ready, they came in and administered the drug to Charlie right there on the floor with us, which kept Charlie calm. The whole experience could not have been any better. Charlie's remains were treated with respect and I received his ashes in a lovely wooden box accompanied by a small clipping of his fur and his paw prints. This was hard to share, but its important for folks to know how the hospital staff at Cornerstone treats you and your precious pet at the most difficult time in their lives.

Some of the most fantastic food can be eaten in restaurants that are rundown and look mighty questionable on the outside. You know the ones. The ones that make you go ummmm no BUT your friend told you just how incredible the food really was! So this vet hospital doesn't have a fancy entrance, nor does the inside have pretty upgrades that will automatically feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What this place may lack in pretty upgrades it makes up for in quality staff and incredible above and beyond love and care for animals. It is well equipped with the medical equipment needed to care for your pet. My Annabel Lee (rescue dog with anxiety issues) walks into that building with only a tad of nervous feeling and if you had any idea how huge that was ... you'd ignore all possible cosmetic disappointments because Cornelia Veterinary Hospital .. total gem.

She has been on multiple medications for several years and has been taking a different treatment for the Cushing's (which is working) developed by the University of Tennessee that is 6 mg Melatonin 12 hours apart and Lignans daily dosed according to her weight. (If you are interested look at Lignans for Life website) Getting back to Dr. Owens, it is hard to think these negative reviews are about this vet and clinic. Our Daisy has been going seriously down hill for the past 2 years in spite of all the meds. She was falling several times a week and we were afraid she was going to hit her head to the point of killing herself. We had a good experience with chiropractic with another dog when we lived in Atlanta and acupuncture ourselves and wanted to try it. Although we have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to Toccoa from our home and of course there is a very reasonable charge for the treatments it is the best thing we have done for our dog ever. We have been going for 3 months. I find Dr. Owen very compassionate and patient with Daisy and very knowledgeable in general. Daisy has had progressively fewer falling episodes and now is down to only 1 in a month. My dog is also back in other ways. She is back to her sassy pest of a self barking commands and even her naughty nipping. She even tries to jump up a bit. Her discomfort is obviously decreased and her respirations are normal when they were very rapid before. Her eyes are even brighter and her hearing is improved. Dr. Owen can't do anything about the incontinence but I have a system of taking her out frequently and she wears Avont dog pants (from Amazon) with an extra pad I place inside at night or when we are gone from home. Another thing they do is call the day after her treatment to check on her. So we know with her age and health problems we will have to eventually give her up but for now she is living a much more comfortable life and we are relieved of the constant torment of seeing her decline.
