After hearing glowing reports of the level of care, the individual attention paid to each patient, and the warmth and compassion shown each and every visit, I was compelled to write a review for Summit Physical Therapy and Sports Care in Montvale, NJ. What stood out most about this place is that they are genuine, caring, and extremely competent. In fact, they have a miraculous anti-gravity treadmill and an Elgin for Dorsey Plantar and Inversion Eversion resistance exercises that is superb. With the state of the art equipment and a fantastic attitude toward patients, this place is definitely unique! And how often does one find all these assets at one single place??? Probably once in a lifetime!! My friend, Eileen, was fortunate to have this stellar team on her side as she peregrinated through the healthcare system for prior injuries and surgeries, from shoulder replacement to knee replacements. Your treatment plan could consist of exercises tailored to your issue, manual work on you by the PT, and ice/heat/stim. (Love the compression ice sleeve!) The PTs and aides are really good at what they do, designing a specialized plan for you, being responsive to feedback, and having an awareness of the room. Kudos to Shane, James, Mike, Jordan, Tony and the team for their attentiveness; thank you Shane especially for your professionalism and help! It seems like most PT places have a dated feel to them but this one feels better, perhaps because it is well kept, the signed sports memorabilia on the walls, and the comforting sound of the washing machine running. It's a smallish space so conversations carry throughout the room, so you pretty much hear everything. Not too much privacy if you want that. They also have convenient hours. They are by appointment and have early morning and later times. If you go at a busier time, it gets more hectic and there's a lot more staff multitasking happening. Before you start, they contact you about what you will owe per session. I ended up owing more than initially told (estimate?) which is never a good surprise. Perhaps double verifying ahead of time would be good. This wasn't the cheapest place if you're budget conscious. Parking is easy and they're located right next to Davey's bar.

I was amazed how effective the remote sessions were. Steven C, my therapist, provided excellent guidance, was extremely knowledgeable & the methods were very organized & professional. Plus he has a genuine concern for the patient. I would highly recommend this therapy center & commend them for developing remote sessions for people unable to have in-person therapy. Five stars are not enough!
