Went there last month. It was very hot that day and the only air conditioning in the facility was at the check in desk and behind the counter where they prepare food. They didn't even have fans blowing it was ridiculously hot. They also ran out of regular water and had no ice. K1 sent me a survey about the visit and I reported all the things I am in this review and no one has reached out. Also, they have rules posted about not ramming in to each other in cars but no one there does anything about it when people purposefully slam their cars into the car in front of them at full speed. This place is not safe for kids. We have been to this and other race tracks before and I haven't experienced what I did toI get that there are risks but when grown men slam 10 year olds into walls at full speed on purpose that's totally unacceptable and management did nothing. We took my son and his friends to have a fun afternoon out. The first ride out these 3 douche bag men sideswiped my 10 year old so he couldn't turn as the other slammed him into the wall at full speed! My son hurt his neck and couldn't ride anymore. Upon speaking to management and the people running the track, none of them knew what to do and didn't do anything. We sat on the sidelines and watch these idiots continue to hit kids. Management let them continue to race. All of our kids stopped because they didn't feel safe. Interesting we would have done a school party here but won't now. I can't believe we paid close to two hundred dollars to wait around sweating for two hours. There is no air conditioning. There are huge fans everywhere but all they do is blow hot, stuffy air around. It was over 90 degrees outside, so it might not be such a big deal in the winter, but during summer in so cal, no bueno. The bathrooms are disgusting. All five stalls in the woman's restroom had urine/poop in them or urine all over the seat. I couldn't believe it was a business (one that charges a lot of money at that!), it was worse than a public park! I had to go but I didn't even attempt to use them, I just walked out. The employees are vague in directions and expect you to know all the rules even if you've never been there before. My family did one race and while the race itself was fun, we will never be back. They need to take better care of their business by at the very least providing clean restrooms for their patrons to use. read more

Scam, they put an employee in to race with our party full of kids under 18. We were not experienced, so this guy ran circles and completed 12 laps in record time. Our best druver comoleted 8. The manager was helpful and racing the karts themselves were very fun. However, some of the staff here are very unprofessional and were berating our party quite rudely. I can understand that everyone has bad days, but being disrespectful towards a group of students who paid an arm and a leg to be there really dampened the mood after the long hard day we had. I verified with the rude worker at the food stand that the students had not even been given any warnings to try and rectify the issue, but she refused to apologize for her comments towards the students and rolled her eyes at me. We were a respectful group, only waiting quietly in the lounge for our turn, so I wasn't sure what the issue was and the manager had to come over and temper her attitude. If there are "common sense" rules regarding the lounge spaces, I would still look into putting signs up if it makes someone that angry. We will not be back. read more

I Paid $300 for races and had to deal with one of the most disgustingly rude employees at K1 her name is **trinity**!! I walked up to the desk to confirm that my brother was on the same race as me being l that I didn't hear his name being called for the race. She literally said "yeah I didn't call his name b/c your little brother is up here asking me 1,000 freaking questions". & then proceeds to speak to me insanely rude & storms off. I can only imagine how she was speaking to my little brother when I wasn't around who is only 14 & was just excited to ride the go karts. I walked over to speak to her manager & I see her going off in the back room as if I did something wrong & the GM tells me that she said that I was rude to her. Which is a total lie. There are multiple employees & 10 other customers that were standing right there waiting for the race that witnessed everything. I promise you I will never come here again. The WORST customer service. They never answer the phone to get a schedule. We show up and no races are available for juniors. I mentioned to the person at check in that I had been calling all morning and there was no answer. He said that only managers are allowed to answer the phones (how stupid if the mangers are not near the phones) I then asked for the schedule of the following day and he couldn't provide that to me either. By far the worst that it has gotten. A couple months ago I was a recent customer as I always came to look for the Gentlemans under the name of Cesar, Bryan, and Omar. These individuals would go out of their way to make sure my events would run on time and smoothly. Cesar was the hands down individual that would give the place a vibe and even make my girlfriend feel wanted lol. Bryan and Omar were just amazing when it came to checking us in and bringing in our food on time and freshly done. Now I went recently hosted an event but wanted to give these unknown faces a try at the facility and what can I say the standards have been lowered by far. We were not briefed and were just situated into the go-kart without no instructions on what to do even though we were regulars before, my other party guests weren't. So much bumping and drifting and yet the guy in the middle with the flags did not pay attention at all. After the racing our food was still not ready or brought out to us, we had to wait 35 minutes after our third race just to get 2 cold hard thick pizza. I had a talk with the manager about the service and all he did was say, "Nothing I can Do" like really common. I even tried removing the tip and all they did was increase it from its initial amount being sought on my receipt. We really wanted this to be better. The facilities themselves are nice-looking. Some of the staff we were interacting with were very rude and not wearing masks as is required! Chin diapers! We tried to order food several times and no one was at the snack bar. The woman who finally came over to work snack bar, after 5 attempts to get drinks, was not wearing her mask. I asked the manager if masks are required and he said, "we can't make them". He thought I was talking about the clientele. When he realized that I wasn't he did ask his employee to pull up their mask. Needless to say, half of the clientele are not wearing masks. Because they offer such a niche activity, I'm not too sure reviews will mean anything to them. I've been karting for 10 years in LA as background. They said it be a 2 hr wait and I ordered 2 races.. ok no problem suck it up. I mentioned what time should I safety come back, they said 4pm. I arrived back around 3:45pm check in and they said its all good. We start our first race at 4:45 and then when we were done, they proceeded to tell me we don't have a second race? I talk with a manager and they said it looks like they called our 1st race already and we weren't in the building.... I told them their team told me to come by 4 and I came back even earlier.. in short manager said too bad , we will have to wait hours again for second race.... I asked for a refund and they proceeded to charge me full freight of 1 race and not even provide the discount from a 2 race purchase. In short, Come here if you want to wait a long time and be lied too! You have been warned, don't come here if you expect anything done orderly or timely. After waiting, I went up to speak to the front desk and they told me another hour and 20 minutes - quite the difference from the original time, which is misleading and deceptive as that should have been stated from the beginning that our wait time would be more than 2 hours long. We went to get ice cream in the meantime. When we got back, after being away for only 30 mins, we were told that they have been calling us, which doesn't make sense since they told us we still had AT LEAST another 30 mins on the wait time. I also don't appreciate how they spoke because they did not treat us with respect and rushed us through the process, which could have led to injury - it was careless and haphazard. They set us up with the helmets and they added another group of random people to our race. We overheard from an employee that they'd be joining our race because they had to get to an 8:30pm reservation ' they couldn't miss,' which is frustrating given how long we had to wait. Even though our party was already 8 people, the race became 12 people and a normal race appeared to be 8-10. That is wildly rude because they compromised our experience - they were poor drivers, constantly bumping us and causing a less than pleasant racing experience. Afterwards, we attempted to speak to a manager to voice our frustrations and were simply told 'avoid weekends bc they're busy'. This would be my second time coming to the Burbank k1 speed, and i had almost the same experience the second time as the first time, i should've never went back. same guy was the one watching all drivers racing both times i went, he looks latino, with shoulder length black hair, EXTREMELY RUDE AND SERIOUS. if our karts will spin or stop, and he'll have to come help fix them he'll roll eyes or exhale harshly. like these are kids who obviously aren't professional. on our last lap, another guy (amazing service) told my sister to park her kart on the next lane , the rude guy had just let that lane go race, so he thought my sister was a part of that race, with helmets it's hard to hear, my sister was simply trying to tell the rude guy that she wasn't suppose to go with and he threw his hands up upset that my sister wouldn't leave to the track, he grabbed the kart and pushed her harshly onto the track. i tried telling the nice guy she wasn't suppose to go, as he was telling me it's okay, the rude guy said "ITS HER FAULT SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO DO" .. i don't know what this kid is going through, keep problems to yourself, if you're upset all the time or don't like the job find another job. People with attitudes like this at jobs are reasons why you guy bad reviews for the store. this second time we went, we RESERVED and we're told we'll be waiting 1hr 40mins OR LESS, we waited 3 hours ! we brought kids with us ages 10-11, have never driven fast cars, this is the reason why we reserved, we did 3 races, and they added a worker with our races. and i've heard and read they do this along for reason of making the race finish fast. They don't regulate who goes on the track and they let a drunk guy and two rowdy young guys on the track with me and my preteen sister. We got slammed beyond roughly and it was very dangerous, I was so scared for her while we're on the track. The manager doesn't care at all, she just gave me the "we will be more vigilant" talk and then when I wasn't letting up on safety regulations, she got mad at me and asked what I would do to change it. We went there for a birthday. Place was freezing cold inside at 55 degrees probably and I am not exaggerating. Do they have heaters or what? Service was horrible. They never had an attendant at the concession stand. I had to go and find the attendance from the front to buy drinks. At all times, there would be a line of people waiting at the concession stand and no one available to attend them. There was no party helpers. Party owners had to do all the set up and cleaning. Food didn't arrive in time. It arrived when it was the end of the party when the cake was being served! And they don't allow outside food or drinks! They give you to tickets to get drinks but there is no one at the concession! At least have the birthday beverages delivered to the room! Or have someone at the concession stand! This place seem to have management problem. It is not being run by any manager and seems like high schooler employees are there to hangout and have fun instead of working. Too much potential. My experience was terrible! I booked my son's 12th birthday here. There were 8 kids driving. I had reservations from 230-430pm. The whole party arrived at 145pm which I thought was great since the person I booked the party with told us to arrive 30 minutes before to get all the kids registered and ready to drive at 230pm. Everyone was checked in by 215pm. Mind you, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING! The music that was playing was dark, slow and a little depressing being it's supposed to be a fun environment. It was crowded and only 2 people working the front desk. My party was not able to drive until 3pm! They were just waiting as other parties kept passing them. I went to the front and asked what was going on and the girl said, "Your party is next" Uh, no we weren't. I think 2 parties went ahead. When the 1st race was over, our party room was still not ready. The kids raced for 12 minutes the 1st race and about 14 the next. I ordered food at the concession and they said it would be taken to the party room once it's ready. We were finally able eat at 345pm. I had to stand in line because there was 1 person working concession and I had to ask for everything! Nothing was set up and nothing was stocked in the room . I had to ask for the food, drinks, napkins, forks and then the cake. It was a disaster. THEN! At 430pm, they told us that we needed to leave the room so they can set up another party. WE WERE BEING KICKED OUT EVEN WHEN MY PARTY WAS NOT SEEN AT THE TIME I SCHEDULED FOR! I'm super pissed I spent $800 at this facility. Go to MB2 raceway instead. read more

Horrible experiences!! I've tried the Burbank locations on many occasions. Play dates, date nights, kids birthday parties, you name it, and every time it was a big disappointment! No customer service what so ever. Managers never around. Very unhelpful. Food quality and service horrible. Even during parties all I've seen are the parents running around like crazy but no employees around to help. Not sure how they are running this place smoothly. I'm a little confused to why the reviews for customer service were low because I would score this place overall 5 stars+ especially for the staff. My husband and I took 17 pastors out for a day of fun and that's what we got. The total experience was over the top. We enjoyed the racing, the food - definitely would order the chicken wings again. We used the party room which worked for 17 adults. We didn't use the arcade but it was clean and spacious. We got the corporate package: we raced, had lunch, raced again, grabbed soda and water (they offer other drinks). Then our top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd race winners were presented with medals and stood on a platform like as if they won at the Olympics. A total fun team building experience. We had some unexpected cancellations and they modified our package on the spot with no problem. A big thank you to Sergio, Tiffany, Alyssa, Michelle and Alexus for your courtesy, helpfulness and friendly attitude making our visit a great experience. This place is lucky that yelp requires a star minimum because I would've given it zero! The service here was terrible! I went with a group of friends and me and some others had never gone. One of them had taken up the lane but didn't know they were blocking others from passing, given it's their first time go karting. The guy carrying the flag then stops all the cars and yells at my friend saying they're causing a problem for everyone. Their delivery was horrible, and it was only just my friends first time. Not only that but the food service was horrible too. We would be standing in front of an empty stand where they would be serving food but no one was there. So we waited for about 6 minutes and still no one showed. Finally we pushed something that looked like it was a call button however there were no labels or "ring me" sign on it. SUCH potential...wasted. Terrible racing. If you're a fan of motorsport and want to go karting, go ANYWHERE else. The karts are fast...when not remotely throttled by the teenager not paying attention to what he's doing. Or by the dude who's clearly never seen racing, who's ready to "slow" ANY kart that taps another. Not bumps. Not rams. Just taps another. Or when you get the totally sexist race controller who throttles all the ladies karts and none of the men. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They have a cool space, a fun track layout, and are reasonable priced for what you get; but when you get behind the wheel, take off, and then start slowing down for absolutely no reason (in three different race-events) it really takes the fun away. I'm all for electric karts, but when they can be controlled remotely and the person controlling them RUINS your event, you definitely don't want to return. (And I definitely will not be.) This is all without mentioning that one of our karts nearly caught fire mid practice-session. (Smoke pouring from the back) So either your kart won't be well maintained and the electric motor will struggle to recover from a slight oversteer, or an angry teenager will ruin your lap because he thought you weren't driving safely enough (based on what metric? I'd love to know) or you'll just have a slower kart than your group because they don't think you're capable, based on nothing more than LOOKING at you. (FYI, I'm a man and felt horrible for my female party guests who were all slower than the guys.) The race-staff was just atrocious. Could have had a great birthday, but instead left disappointed by horrible racing. Will definitely not be retuning. (I'll be going somewhere with gas karts that, despite not always being reliable, at least cannot be controlled remotely.) Also, indoor does NOT mean AC. They don't have any. read more
