Judge Kathy Stone is an excellent mediator. I had several mediations with her and she was very professional and effective.

One Star Review We…read morefound Richard after searching extensively online for an attorney. He had a couple of good reviews (which is rare for attorneys), and at first, he seemed like the right choice. He came across as very nice, professional, and capable of handling our complex case. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after we paid him--upfront and even more than he originally asked for. From that point forward, Richard became dismissive, arrogant, and unresponsive. He constantly shut down my wife, ignored or failed to read our emails, and treated us with a cocky attitude. Despite the fact that we were supposed to be on the offensive, he left us feeling like we were always on the defensive. Even when the opposing side acted blatantly against the law, Richard said and did nothing. The most shocking issue was that Richard actually negotiated with the opposing counsel without our knowledge or consent and even sent us an email documenting decisions he made without our approval. That was completely unacceptable and a betrayal of trust. After reviewing our billing, we realized we had billed us over $22kwhile he did very little to help us. On top of that, he came up with excuses, including health reasons, to explain his lack of work. We later discovered through the state bar that Richard had previously lost his license for similar misconduct with another client--something we wish we had known before hiring him. To make matters worse, Richard seemed to work in sync with the opposing attorney, running up our legal bills while accomplishing nothing. We ended up having to write our own rebuttals for him, as he refused to execute even the basics. He was consistently rude to my wife, gave us the wrong advice, and ignored critical points in our case. In total, we invested over $22,000 in Richard, only to be left with no real progress and the need to hire a new attorney to start over. We will be submitting our experience and documentation to the state bar for review. Richard is a one-man show with no staff, no support, and no accountability. He does not listen, does not care, and does not fight for his clients once he gets paid. This has been one of the most disappointing and costly experiences of our lives. Avoid Richard completely. Earlier this year, I purchased the mediation certification course offered by ADR Services International (ADRMediator Inc.), run by Jerry Hall. Before enrolling, I briefly spoke with Mr. Hall, which gave me the impression that the course would be professionally designed and provide a clear, structured path toward certification. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The course material is extremely outdated, poorly organized, and disjointed. Rather than a cohesive curriculum, it felt like a random collection of decades-old resources stitched together without structure or flow. The format reminded me more of a 1980s-era YouTube playlist than a modern professional training program. As someone who holds both a bachelor's and master's degree, has taught AP courses, and completed many online programs, I can confidently say this is the lowest-quality course I have ever encountered. Because of this, I requested a refund. Mr. Hall responded by copying and pasting the "no refund" policy and ignored any further follow-up or proposed resolution. To be candid, it felt dismissive -- once payment was made, there was no interest in customer satisfaction or accountability. I had only accessed the first module when I realized the program would not prepare me to practice mediation in any meaningful or professional way. While I understand refund policies in cases where someone simply changes their mind, this was not that. The product simply did not meet a reasonable standard of quality for what was marketed as a professional certification. Key takeaways from my experience: * The program is disorganized, outdated, and lacking professional structure. * The "no refunds" policy is enforced even when the product fails to meet basic educational standards. * In my opinion, completing this course would not adequately equip someone to begin a career or practice in mediation. I strongly encourage anyone considering this program to look carefully at alternatives. There are many reputable, structured, and up-to-date mediation certification programs available. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I will now be spending additional money to obtain training and certification through UTSA -- a program that is far more professional, credible, and useful. In my experience, this program was little more than a money grab and a waste of resources. Mr. Hall should be ashamed of offering such substandard training under the guise of professional certification. Respectfully, Nicole Johnson
