Let the buyer BEWARE!!…read more I contacted this company believing the reviews and that they were ethical. But I was treated unethically and defrauded $125 for bogus, made up charges. In May, I called Valencia D. Walker - Hands On Concierge, to inquire about hiring their process server services. I was given the prices and decided to pay $225 to complete 3 process server services: 1. To make 3 attempts to serve the person - $75 2. To go to the courts to pickup and drop off the filing documents - $45 3. To file the documents with the county clerk - $105 As it turned out, after I'd paid, over the weekend I realized I would not need the services and contacted Ms Walker to let her know via voicemail. On the following Monday we spoke and she informed me she'd received my message. We discussed the situation that involved a tenant who was behind on rent and I decided to let her keep the money for the time being to ensure the situation was completely resolved before getting reimbursed. She told me to just let her know what I wanted to do, At no time was I told that if so did not allow her to conduct the services that processing and counseling fees would be deducted. In August, the tenant moved and I called to get my refund. Although NO SERVICES had been provided, and none of this had been discussed, Ms Walker said I would be refunded $100 with $125 being withheld because of her PayPal processing fees and counseling. This is misrepresentation and fraud. I was never told nor did I hire or pay her for counseling services or PayPal's processing fees. Neither are on the invoice she sent me. So why was I not fully reimbursed for the services I did pay for that I did not receive? I want a full reimbursement of the $125 that was fraudulently withheld to be reimbursed immediately.

I felt the amount requested for preparing a simple probate petition was excessive, and even the judge agreed the fee should be reduced. As a parent trying to protect my daughter's inheritance, it was upsetting to feel as though her estate was being depleted by unnecessary legal costs. Our original attorney, Kevin Childress, stated he was overloaded with cases and transferred us to Mr. Underwood. When I expressed concerns about the fees, it was implied that I was seeking free services, which was never the case. I simply wanted fair and reasonable representation. After receiving payment from my daughter's estate on two separate occasions, Mr. Underwood later chose to withdraw from representing us. Attempts to communicate directly were unsuccessful, and I was instead referred to another attorney, Danielle Woods. Overall, this experience left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I hope others do their research carefully before retaining this firm's services.
