But seeing it in real life for the first time... that moment stays with you. It's iconic, powerful, and absolutely beautiful from the water. The tour itself was relaxing and informative. It gave us time to take in the view, snap some photos, and just appreciate being so close to one of the most recognized landmarks in the world. We did this on day 3 of our trip, and it felt like the perfect timing -- not too early when you're still adjusting, but not too late when you've already seen too much. We went around 11:00 AM, and it wasn't overly crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. If you're coming to New York, I definitely recommend making time to see the Statue of Liberty. It's not just a symbol of the city -- it's a symbol of the country And experiencing it in person gives you a new appreciation for that. Bring your camera, soak in the moment, and enjoy the breeze from the boat -- it's totally worth it. RECOMMEND (Personally mine)

To start, the arrival instructions emailed in advance were accurate and easy to follow and accounted for local construction. Our tour was for us and one couple; Captain Bryant was our captain, and he was an absolute delight. He went through the safety information and told us what to expect from our time on the water as well as some information about our boat before leading us to it right on time. The boat was at the end of the floating docks with a lockable storage container nearby in case anyone wanted to store purses or backpacks. We got a bit of a chuckle once we got on board, because we had never seen seats like this on a boat before! The seats were two across and you sat on one by straddling. Grab bars were at the front. (There aren't any seatbelts!) Captain Bryant told us the seats in the front were the "bounciest", so naturally, that's what we chose. We went slowly out of the marine before -- with a heads up -- our captain got us to what felt like a pretty high speed! My mom and I are both moderate adrenaline junkies and were pretty thrilled. It was a definite rush but never, ever felt unsafe. From there, Captain Bryant alternating between "hitting the gas" and stopping at multiple spots for absolutely stunning views of midtown, downtown, the Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and more. He was super clear, easy to understand, and informative about each stop but never boring. He also took photos (with our own phones) at the stops whenever we wanted, which was very kind. He got us back after the hour -- again, right on time, and we chatted with him a bit about how enjoyable he finds this job. It's clear in the entire experience what a wonderful fit it is for him -- and he is for it. I wouldn't recommend this tour for someone with mobility or balance issues, or someone who would feel exposed and anxious in such a relatively small (but FAST) boat out on the rivers. But for me, it's one of my favorite boat tours I've ever taken anywhere. It was 1000% worth the money (with no upselling!).

The weather was a question mark that morning and he had already sorted out how to handle it, so it never became our problem. Tables were reserved for us in the back of the ship which was ideal. Everyone received a complimentary cocktail and there are several snack food choices available to purchase (ie fish and chips, pretzels, etc. In the lower level, is the bar and you place your food order and the staff brings your food directly to your table, piping hot. The scenic route is just so relaxing and the vibe on the ship is so friendly and upbeat. The star of the ship, however, is DJ Esco. Oh my!! DJ Esco played music from my era (1970's) thru the 80's 90's to present. He knows how to get a party started and keep it going!! It was one big lovefest, from the children to the seniors on the dance floor and if not dancing, singing from your seat or while taking in the views. Happy Birthday was sung to all the birthday folks and though the time just flew by it felt like we had been cruising longer than two hours. I am so looking forward to returning and enjoying many more celebrations on RMS Cruises. Thanks to the entire crew - We look forward to seeing you again soon.

A time was had and will not be forgotten! This was my mom and I's first time aboard the Emerald princess and it was something I've had my eyes on for quite sometime. I was very interested in their fall foliage cruises but was unable to get around to booking. A brunch cruise came up on my instagram feed around the time of my mom's birthday and decided to treat her. We departed at 11am and circled around by West Point and came back. It was a beautiful Saturday morning with smooth waters and blue skies. The boat was very spacious, comfortable and welcoming. On the table they had a lot of Peekskill attractions to encourage you to venture out around the town. After departing at 11am we were served complimentary mimosas and the brunch buffet was opened shortly after that. The spread was wonderful. They served eggs, bacon, sausage, two types of quiche, pancakes, seasoned potatoes, penne vodka, chicken francese, assorted muffins and fresh fruit. Everything was served hot, fresh and delicious. The buffet was not self service but it was opened right up until a few mins before the cruise ended. There was plenty of food and no shame in going back for seconds or thirds! They had a friendly bartender that had soft drinks, waters, wines/beers and cocktails made to order. The views were amazing from the upper and lower decks. We had access to the entire boat. The owner came around to greet everyone and surprised us when she announced that if anyone wanted to drive the boat the opportunity would soon come! My mom was thrilled. There is a picture of my mom actually steering the boat in a captains hat lol! I loved seeing her happy and knew I made the right choice booking us tickets with R.M.S cruises. I really couldn't recommend it more and if you need some extra convincing please refer to the picture of my mom with the captains hat on. Her happiness from this brunch cruise is infectious!

The NYC tour took us over northern NJ which was great for giving us a few minutes to work thru our fears before getting to Ellis Island. Super cool to see the NYC skyline as we approached it from the other side of the river. Great pics! Leaving from NJ elongated the experience to 40 min vs the 15 min the companies in NY offer. Felt like a bargain!! (Especially since some mention in the fine print that your 15 min begins when the engine is turned on) Just like the other reviews, the service was impeccable from the initial correspondence. As nervous as we were, we felt extremely comfortable with our awesome pilot Josh. He was friendly and not intimidating at all. He put our nerves at ease with his relaxed nature. This was super important to me as we were celebrating a special birthday and I wanted it to feel that way. Many of the NY companies have negative reviews about poor attitudes. Who needs that? Our helicopter had 2 seats in the front and 2 in the back. Some other companies charged more for "private tours". This was but without the up-charge. I am so happy that I chose the right company for our adventure. It was almost as serene as it was exciting. So worthwhile. Grateful for the experience!! Thanks Garden State!!
