We booked Justin Element and his team for videography for our May 2020 wedding, which ended up getting postponed twice. Luckily, they were so easy-going with the postponements and were available for those dates, so we didn't have to look elsewhere for another vendor. My husband was very impressed with their video editing styles that we knew we had to book them. I loved their photo editing styles as well, but our venue already provided us with a photography team, so we ended up opting for an engagement session add-on as a compromise. Justin was so accommodating and patient with all of our questions and requests, and was easy to work with! We ended up having our engagement session July 2020, in the middle of the pandemic and everything was still closed. Crazy enough, we just went back to the same area recently, and my husband was surprised how it was completely empty when we had our shoot there. Justin got us our pictures back pretty quickly, and they turned out amazing!! I was a little tired from all of the running around, so I didn't look as nice later on during the session, but Justin did the best he could, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome!! Our wedding ended up being in September 2021, and before our big day, Justin had a meeting with us to go over everything and answered any questions that we've had. He was well-organized and helped eased our worries! On the day of the wedding, we met Justin's team: Marvin, Christopher, and Dominique. They were amazing and shot anything and everything that they could! We loved that we were able to see the raw footage because some of the moments captured were very memorable to us! We opted for the same-day edit, because at the time we booked them, we were going to show the video during a banquet reception (that got canceled due to the pandemic), so they worked endlessly trying to edit to be able to showcase the video at the end of the night. The video turned out very well, and even our DJ, who has editing background, was very impressed as well! My mother in law loved it so much that, for weeks after our wedding, she was still showing it to everybody she knew that couldn't attend the wedding. We got our Extended Highlight film about a month or so later, and absolutely loved it!! Thank you so much Dominique for shooting and editing our videos!! My husband loves her editing style and were glad to hear that she was able to come out and edit our video! Thank you Marvin and Christopher for your cinematography skills and capturing all of the memorable (and not so memorable) moments! It was so nice to have one last "goodbye" to this amazing team at the end of the night, when most of our vendors and guests have left! Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a more better videography team than Justin Element's team. Thank you for being part of our big day! Last but not least, thank you Justin, for shooting our engagement session! It was an amazing shoot that we'd never forget, from your lovely assistant/wife, to those painful blisters from the heels that I wore halfway through the shoot; it was all worth it! The outcome came out so beautifully that we have some of them printed on canvases and are displayed around our home! Thank you for all of the coordination for that shoot, as well as with your videography team for our wedding. We've all heard the story of postponed weddings so I won't go into too much detail but Justin and his team were AMAZING. So professional, understanding, and completely flexible! My husband and I met Justin back in 2011 at a Clara C concert and, in true businessman fashion, he eventually pulled out his business cards so that we could take one. We were immediately impressed that he had a variety of business cards with different wedding pictures as backgrounds. This was so cool and innovative to me and I always kept this in mind as the years flew by, even though I didn't really have marriage on my mind. As we began to plan our wedding, we were actually about to book my husband's friend as our photographer, but she ended up being busy on our wedding day. Justin and his business cards instantly came to mind and I proceeded to reach out to him and he was still available! We actually met with Justin to go over everything and we ended up spending 3-4 hours just talking to him and his fiance about a lot of non-wedding things! The pricing was a big portion of our budget, but we were confident that Justin and his team would be completely worth it! We swapped out our engagement session for a pre-wedding photography session which I wore my wedding dress to and were able to use the pictures throughout our wedding banquet. Justin and his team are amazing!! Justin met with us multiple times prior to our wedding, making sure that he understood what we wanted and discussing various ideas/schedules. He was always happy to meet our requests, even if we were maybe a bit picky. Communication was always clear, and he was happy to take as much time as we needed to coordinate everything. Then on the big day, we had Justin and Glenn for photography, and Marvin for videography. All 3 of them were such fun people to be around -- which is so important, since they were by our side for nearly the entire wedding day!! They laughed and socialized alongside our family and friends, taking pics/video the whole time, and making sure we were comfortable in front of the camera. Then after the wedding, they got all the editing done ahead of schedule, and we are so happy with how the photos and highlight video turned out! So much content, too. Justin has a very bright and creative style that's a bit different than most wedding photographers, but it was exactly what we were looking for. And the raw footage is fantastic as well! It was such a pleasure to have the crew at JustinElement involved with our wedding. Justin took our engagement photos and Wedding photos. Kevin shot our wedding video (amazing). Justin will give you the shirt off his back...literally. He wanted to get a shot of us on a bench and took of his shirt to lay on the bench so we wouldn't get dirty. Engagement shoot...got us to loosen up. Wedding shoot, they brought an army of six and managed to stay unobtrusive. Not to mention the fact that everyone is young, energetic, and at the same time respectful, and of course creative. I hope to involve these guys once we get to maternity photos, baby photos, family photos, and whatever else comes up in the future if they'll have us! This is a videography review, although I have no doubts that their photography is on point as well. My wife and I fell upon JustinElement Photography through my wife's sister (and Maid of Honor), who knew of Justin from college. We had been looking for videographers for our wedding and to be quite honest, we were not sure about JustinElement. They were actually our second choice, but after seeing some negtive reviews and seeing first-hand the kind of customer service our first choice was giving our cousins, we opted for JustinElement and we should have had them first on our list from the get-go. Our wedding was in the SF Bay Area, and Justin and crew, based in LA, could only meet with us via video conference. After some email correspondence (that was very prompt), we scheduled a he initial interview turned into a 2+ hour long brainstorm and chat session. We learned that Justin was booked for photography already on our date, and the had a new lead videographer, Dominique (or Dom) would be taking care of us. At that time, she had not had too much practice at Same Day Edit videos, but would have had about a dozen under her belt by the time our wedding came around. We were anxious, but optimistic. Thank goodness for Dom! There is definitely a reason her title is "videographer-senpai!" Dom is a pleasure to work with and accommodated our every request. Honestly, we were pretty harsh at first, saying we did not like her editing style and preferred a more simple, less indie approach. She admitted it was a bit hard to adapt at first, but we could not have been happier with the final result. Dominique was super easy to communicate with on emails and on Skype and the same is true of her crew. Speaking of her crew, we need to shout out Ilja, Lou and Chad who were our shooters for the day. Ilja and Chad were with the groomsmen and Dom and Lou were with the bridesmaids. I have nothing but great things to say about the crew. From what I saw, they worked brilliantly in conjunction with our photographers. They were all friendly, but professional.
