    I waited almost 8 months to write this and multiple attempts to have resolved. Closed remote and…read moredrove 25hrs. Walked into a home that was a mess. Place wasn't cleaned. Windows had bugs all over them. Dirt on the floors. Carpets a mess. Relator was made aware of issues. Mini split not working. And told would be fixed and still hadn't been as of this post. Never got keys for property( who doesn't give new owners the keys). Hole in front outside wall with cane toads living in it. Inside wall corner ruined. Floor broken and catches you walking down hall. Floor scratched bad. Transitions not glued down. Tile broken in master shower. Gutter never fixed. Pool timer didn't work (pool Girl told them) pool light controller not attached to transformer. Transformer open to elements and rusted. Electrical panel with burnt wires, was told electrical and plumbing were updated in 2019. No electrical box for outside lights. No cover for stove outlet. Water lines never sealed, they just cut the cabinet, opened the door and cockroaches were coming out the wall where they didn't seal. Garage door smashed in on lower panel. Told windows were under warranty and hurricane rated. Found out there is no warranty and they are basic contractor grade after hurricane milton rolled through here. Cable lines run along the roof. We were told the issues would be fixed/addressed. And after asking over and over. Nothing. Always told." I will contact T j Wohl". And never a resolution to the problems. We paid what they wanted. Didn't ask for a lower cost. And paid more than we should have. She took her commission and he took the profits and laughed knowing he wasn't going to address the issues promised In the contract. Sad part. He's an attorney. And the two are friends. Make sure everything you agree to is addressed before closing. She was our eyes here. And allowed the closing as we took her word that it had all been addressed. Even the inspector left major things out. Worse buying experience in my life. If we could of walked away upon entering the property. We would have.

They screw and defraud their tenants in every way they can. I've rented for two decades and have never had such a bad experience as when they took over at Dana Park in Mesa and destroyed the beauty, community, happy vibe and feel of a once pleasant community. Misha Gilbert, the on-site manager is the rudest, most condescending, and unpleasant person you'll ever meet. She's hated by all the tenants but I'm pretty sure they keep her around bc she works very hard to nickle and dime tenants. And thats the only thing she works at bc she doesnt do anything for tenants. Mgmt is regularly sending out threatening and/or scolding texts, reminding tenants of endless rules, such as NOTHING, not even curtains on the patio. They have no respect for privacy. They are always snooping. During one of the many "inspections" Misha entered my apt and immediately began screaming at me for having up patio shades. I had a west facing patio. They are insane. And good luck getting ahold of anyone from Baron. Lol. It wont happen. The nightmare doesn't end when you move out either, they try to defraud tenants by strapping them w $1000 charges upon leaving. They did this to myself as well as some other tenants who also left around the same time I did. When I asked for the reason for the charges, I was given small, grainy pics of cobwebs, stickers, a plain wall, etc., and a toilet that was trash when moved in. No joke. When I asked for an itemized list of charges related to the pics I was given, crickets. When I told them the toilet looked like that when I moved in, crickets. They literally cannot substantiate the charges and didn't even try to, but they keep sending emails to pay. I am SO much happier after leaving. I could go on but yeah. This is your sign. Go anywhere else. All the nearby places are so much better.

They showed me how to take the worry out of owning an income property and avoiding the pitfalls that so many of us, not from the area fall in to. My parents moved here 30 years ago as it was just being built. I moved here permanently 2 1/2 years ago to take care of my elderly mother. I was the relative that was willing to step up which is so common here in Central Florida. Casa is in the far northern part of Avon Park. It is known for its seclusion and the peace and quiet associated with that. It is NOT a 55+ community however most of the residents are over 55. The first thing you notice when you enter is the attention to curb appeal. This is a beautifully maintained property whose landscape contractor has been the same for many, many years. The property is covered with dozens of palms and live oaks. There are just under 100 units in 37 buildings. All units are two bedrooms and two baths. Each has an enclosed patio and a linai/porch that is either screened or glassed in. Most of the units include a 1 1/2 car garage with the 1/2, of course, for your golf cart. A few units have a slightly smaller garage. Rivergreens golf course is just across the street. This is a lakefront property with its own dock for your boating pleasure. The beautiful landscaping is supported by an automated sprinkler system fed by multiple wells on the property. This includes the beds in the enclosed patios. Residents enjoy a large clubhouse, year-round heated pool, shuffleboard and tennis courts. Several social activities are offered each month. The property is managed 100% by volunteer residents and has been since it's inception. This makes the HOA fee a very good value! The very low cost of living in Highlands County contributes to the terrific value of ownership here. I'm wonderfully comfortable here and look forward to many, many years of five star living!
