I'd give this sh#thole zero stars if I could.
I moved from my current PACKING job to work here at just mugs as it was closer to where I worked.
So I don't really know where to start, so I guess I'll just start here. I left my current job at about 10.30am and arrived at this place for 12pm I did until 4pm. Already was told to hurry up on packing. They have NO QUAILITY check staff, so meaning we'd have to do a quick scout on the mug and pack it. I was told if any back stamps were dodgy, to pull them out - which I did. Just before I went home the manager (chris) looked at them and told me to just put a label on them and pack them. I didn't feel comfortable so left them to one side. (Oh yes, I know about quality check as I've done this before)
Caught up? Right, so next day I went in, packing fast. Again I was told to work faster, now as I was working I was asking the girl behind me questions, we were immediately told not to talk. So i carried on the rest of the day in silence. I was pulling out faults I.E, stucks, damaged prints etc.
So my LAST half day, I was paired up with a lady, me and her started talking. She told me she had been there for years, she told me NOT to pack the bad back stamp ones. I told her the manager told me and the other girl to pack them.
This lady who had been there for years told this other lady I know all about quality check and I knew exactly what to pull out. As I turned around to answer this woman's question, I saw the manager staring at me. 1 hour later. yes, ONE HOUR LATER I went on break and the manager came up to me just before I was about finish break, he told me not to come back as he feels I won't be able get my speed up for what he wants. Told him it was funny cause the other place I worked and left to work there didn't have a problem with my packing speed.
So basically, I got let go because I knew about quality check and he didn't like it.
So people. I wouldn't work here. The way he talks to staff too is ridiculous. No respect at all. read more
