They listed a home on Friday afternoon. Advertised open house on Sunday. I called Friday afternoon for viewing on Saturday. Never received call back from Ashley the listing agent. Tried again Saturday and Sunday but no call back. Go there for open house but apparently it had been canceled. That afternoon a contract had been made on Sunday. A realtor did call me Monday morning to let me know it was no longer available. Claim they never received my message on Friday or Saturday. Wanted to know what number I called. The same one I called on Sunday, but you got that message.It's hard to find one level condo that doesn't need work in oak ridge. To many companies to ever give them my business Your response is incorrect and childish. Reading through your reviews, it would be in your best interest of your company, not to respond to one stars. Worst agent. I've never had a worse agent and that's something. She doesn't care about your problems in escrow. She just wants to go from one close to the next. DON'T HIRE HER! EDIT: Thanks for responding, Julia. I paid you to hold the car. I paid someone you recommended to mow my lawn. You didn't mow the lawn. Attached is a photo with the text messages between myself and the gentleman you recommended to mow our lawn. As you can see, we agreed on a price of $40 and he shared photos of the front lawn after he was finished. I don't understand why you insist that you mowed our lawn. I see how the idea that you, as an agent, would mow our lawn would indicate how "above and beyond" you go for your clients - but it's just not true. You are being untruthful and oddly, untruthful about a minor detail unrelated to the big issues we have with the state of the house. It seems a convenient way for you to distract yourself from authentically hearing about the issues we have with your services in the purchase of our house. Regarding the mail, when we arrived here in June the mailbox was stuffed with 6 weeks of mail and filled with ants. Perhaps you checked the wrong person's mail? That's possible as there are apparently two different addresses attached to our dirty title - something I would think you would be invested in rooting out during escrow as our representative agent. I appreciate you getting the keys for us. Not sure if that really qualifies as above and beyond. The number of problems related to your lack of investment in the escrow of our house are innumerable. I don't want to go into it fully at this time, but if it's necessary I'll certainly provide you an official list via an intermediary. But - broadly speaking, we've got mold and flooding issues, a dirty title, and the square footage of the house is 300 sq ft LESS than what it was in the sale. There are other things related to the foundation and electrical. I honestly wasn't going to review you, but when I was cleaning up another round of flooding in the middle of the night and fell in the basement - I just had to let someone else know what they're getting if they hire you. At this point, I don't see any purpose to responding to you further on this forum unless you desire to apologize. HOWEVER, to anyone reading this review, please note that Ms. Hurley herself has carefully outlined in her response the extent to which she feels obligated to facilitate a positive real estate experience. I think she has deftly made an excellent case for the structural deficits in her approach to serving her potential clients. Our move to Knoxville was from out of state. We were in town for a week in March 2016 with the intent of buying a house. We approached a handful of agents with a list of houses I had found in my research prior to our visit and Ms. Hurley was secured to represent us. All told, we looked at 10 or so houses, placed a bid on this house and after subsequent negotiations, settled on a price by the end of the week whereupon we returned to our home state to prepare to move two months later. For the record, Ms. Hurley was fine to work with during the negotiations over price. She was responsive to our calls and texts during the week of negotiations. However, we desperately needed an advocate during escrow as we were out of the state for its entirety. I expressed this need clearly at the onset of hiring Ms. Hurley and she indicated she understood our unique needs, that she had had experience in this kind of case, and was able and willing to be our advocate during escrow as we were not able to be present. It is in this capacity that she sorely failed. Herein is a common failing in realtors. There are two periods in the process. First, the agent represents you during the bidding process. As the ultimate sale price determines the payout to the agent, the agent has a vested interest in this part of the process. However, it is the escrow that is critical to the buyer - especially when the buyer is out of state. Unfortunately, a realtor with less character than is desirable does not necessarily have the impetus to serve clients well once the final bid is accepted. Ms. Hurley failed to note a litany of issues that anyone halfway invested in representing a client would note and ask about. When we were told that the house had once had some "water intrusion into the basement", the seller's agent informed Ms. Hurley that this issue had been fixed. Ms. Hurley verbally committed to finding out exactly what was done to prevent any future water issues. Of course this was prior to the acceptance of our offer. Once escrow started, the water issue was brought up again by me. Ms. Hurley told me that "it has been fixed and won't happen again". I asked her how it was fixed, she said she would find out but that "it has been fixed". I accepted her word for it. Would you? read more

In eleven years of insurance, I've never heard of anyone dealing with such incompetent realtors, or at least realtor as in Julia. I currently reside at a condo that is for sale and has been since the end of July and she has been rude, uninformative, and expectant. Her first time reaching out to us all was to ask us when would be best to meet and she provided two options. The very next day she informed us she was wrong and had to reschedule. When she did first meet with us, she let us know she would be showing people our residence and keeping us in the loop. She then set up the first showing and changed the time a few times, but gave us a weeks notice that there was a three hour window when they might show up. But then waited to tell us until a couple hours before the showing she expected all of us residents to be gone from our homes on a Sunday night and she couldn't give us an accurate time frame on when they would be there but that we should be gone. As you can imagine, not being informed that you're expected to out of your home until a couple hours before is a bit inconvenient. When we brought this up she was sarcastic and apologized saying that a week notice was "exuberant" amount of time, completely sidestepping that none of us cared about getting a weeks notice. What we cared about was not being informed she didn't want us here. So, she and our landlord came up with the following rules for a showing "1. 48 hrs notice 2. Vacate property for 1 hr window for showings (I believe this is customary to allow potential buyer to view the property unhindered) 3. 30 min advance notice prior to arrival 4. Julia to be present for showings 5. Any special accommodations should be run by all tenants. 6. Cancellations should be communicated to the group" And we all agreed to this. There were a couple showings that didn't occur between now and then and then she messaged us last night at 6 to set up a showing for 6 tonight. So she's already not met the 48hrs, but we rolled with it. While I was out of my residence, the people looking to buy showed up at 6, but Julia did not. So they waited around while another tenant attempted to see what was going on. She let us know that she was sending an associate, also not what was agreed to, and that they'd be there at 7. This is a realty company that can't bother to show up to show a house they're selling. I've literally never heard of that happening. She then blamed us and said she never got confirmation from all of us, which we proved incorrect with a screenshot of all of our replies. She then responded that she was releasing the listing because it wasn't working. I'm sure she'll respond snarkily, as she does, but she's so incompetent I have no idea how any place she works has such a high rating. read more

There was a lot of drama surrounding my house when I was intent on selling it, and Julia listened to me, empathized, and provided solutions when I was extremely frustrated with my tenants. Honestly, she was kind of a therapist to me when I was having a hard time with my tenants and even after they left. For example, someone randomly ran into a tree on my property and someone backed into my fence; she was ready to help me find someone to make repairs and even offered to have someone stay at the house to talk to the repair person if necessary. I couldn't ask for a better realtor for my situation: attempting to sell my house while living 3000 miles away. I bought a house that she listing in New Tazewell area. We had the closing May 31 today in July 11 we still have the lock box on our door. I called a number of times..Now after 41 days our door scratched up and box still on. I'm told by Julie Hurley to have my husband saw the box off and throw her sign out . Her office is over hour and half away from this house .Explains why she never sold house in 18 months. When we looked at the house her or her team didn't have security code to turn alarm off..we had to listen to it for over 30 mins. How can you have listing on house and not have code . my suggestion stay with a local realor in Tazewell/ sharp chapel area .I see this day after day the Knoxville realtor don't want to drive to the area.
