I cannot say enough good things about this place and about Vinko Kuzman!!!…read more I have a nearly two year history with sciatica as a result of not one but three lovely herniated discs in my lumbar. In my mind, surgery is a last resort and I've been on a tour of conservative treatments from physiotherapy to massage and more so I'm no stranger to Chinese medicine or acupuncture. My pain had been under control and I was doing well until a recent flare up landed me in the ER 4 days before our scheduled trip to Sydney (from NYC). Determined not to miss our friends' wedding despite my husband's logical concerns, I stubbornly decided to move forward with our trip. Before leaving the states, I got an (my first) epidural that worked on my lower back but left my sciatica screaming. When we landed in Sydney, I was DESPERATE for relief after not sleeping for over a week. The first acupuncturist I found (NOT Vinko) was very nice but seemed to make things worse. The next day, I found Vinko and was grateful that the holidays left him with availability and he could see me that same day. After asking me a series of questions and patiently listening to me, he did a combination of gua sha and acupuncture on me and AAAAHHH. Finally some relief. I felt mild discomfort instead of utter misery for the first time in days. Throughout our trip, I saw Vinko 3 more times and he helped me feel progressively better... and became almost like a trusted friend to us. His bedside manner is remarkable, his knowledge unmatched, and he truly cares about his patients healing... that much is clear. There was no upsell or disingenuous humble bragging. He made it possible for me to not only get through but actually enjoy my trip. I am forever grateful to Vinko and he will always stand out as one of the best practitioners, professionals and human beings I have met. If you're in Sydney, run don't walk to see him!!!

A couple of months ago I limped in to Dixon One Chinese Medicine Center with pain in my lower back,…read morebuttocks & thighs. I could not walk properly. After about 5 sessions of Acupuncture by Clinician Ping I walked home thru the tunnel leading from Broadway to Central Station. Suddenly I found that I was able to join in the crowd of commuters rushing home to dinner and respite at a very fast pace. I could not walk so fast before. The next morning I was in a pool having a morning swim. To my utmost surprise I found that there was not a spot of pain in my whole body. Hallelujah, I exclaimed and scanned my whole back again and still could not find a spot of pain from the neck down to my toes. I will give Ping's treatment all the stars that are available in view of the excellent result that I received.

I had been to a number of doctors (both western and TCM) before finding Dr Ping. Her navel acupuncture treatment was amazingly effective, after just a few sessions - far different from the long and expensive courses of treatment I had elsewhere with no benefit. So I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Ping. If you need treatment with a difficult and long standing problem, I am confident she can help because that is my experience. Of course if you just need some remedial massage or reflexology, Ping's Clinic is hard to beat!

When it comes to massage, there's two schools…read more School A - The leisurely, serene, day spa-y style complete with dolphin sounds and relaxing music. School B - The quick, almost torturous, slightly grungy style with background noises of traffic or a busy shopping mall. I personally like both for different reasons, but usually find myself at school B because it's cheap and quick, meaning I can have a 20 minute neck and shoulder massage a couple of times a month if I need to. I was in Sydney and came across Acupoint on a hunt for a quick 20 minute neck and shoulder torture session to work out some tension. What struck me was that it was a notch above others I've visited, with massage beds to lie on , and a decent amount of cleanliness and hygiene (ie. the face pillow I rested on was first covered with a fresh cloth). Although I could still hear some shopping mall noise and the person in the next little "room" it was a much more relaxing experience than sitting upright under bright florescent lights as is the norm in this kind of place. But what really set it apart was Stephen who was really nice and very very good. His technique was excellent and he was able to work out little knots in my shoulders and neck using gentle but firm acupressure. I got up feeling excellent and very grateful!

Do not go here Horrible massage…read morePainful. Doubt they even went to massage school Lady dug into my head for a 'head' massage with the same force as she dug into my shoulders. It hurt like HELL. I told her to stop. So she went on to dig into the OTHER side of my head with the same force. Needless to say I was NOT impressed at all with the massage and the $45 I paid for it. DO NOT GO HERE.
