Terrible , I have been on this course with the job centre , let me tell you my experience. I lasted 2 days before being arrested , my house raided by the police and 2 months of complete stress not knowing if I was going to be charged or not , my crime? Applying for a job. Day one I was put on induction. Now I do not consider myself a ritch or well off person but I was put on the course with people who could not go for a single 15 minute break without going to the pub for a beer. But this was nothing compared to what my second day had in stoor for me. On the second day I was asked for a copy of my c.v , fine I thought I knew I had applied for alot of jobs via email before this and these would have a copy of my c.v still attached to them. So I went to my yahoo outbox , found a old copy of my c.v and downloaded it onto there computer , this is where the trouble started as the centre manager in burton come in the room at this point and told me "I should not of been able to save documents onto this computer and I must of hacked there system " , I was then taken in a room to be removed from the course and told to never come back all the time I was somewhat confused and quite upset told them , I had only been trying to download my c.v to print out. I was told they would look into it and if I had indeed done nothing wrong I would not have any problems. So I went home , thinking I would be fine and actually quite happy (thinking I got the day off early) as I knew I had done nothing wrong and thought I would later be asked to come back to the course. However at around 6p.m I got a knock on my door , I opened it to be greeted by 2 police officers , surprised and a little worried I let them in. At this point I was arrested for "breaking into a computer server with the intent to commit further criminal activity". But the fun did not end here , the police promptly searched my house and took: 3 usb memory sticks 2 desktop computers 2 hard drives 3 laptops Most of these items did not belong to me , they was my sisters and fathers who were away in germany at the time. However I was then taken down the police station. I would like to say at this point , the police were very very sympathetic I was in shock at being arrested and did not really know what to do I think this showed as they did not cuff me and let me pace the room a few times holding my head while they searched my house. Down the police station I was asked if I wanted a solicitor I said no , as I had not done anything wrong and belived with a bit of explanation I could resolve all this the whole thing seemed silly. They took my shoes off me (incase I wanted to hang myself with the laces) and my belt. I was then put into a cell for the longest 20 minutes of my life. After this I was taken for D.N.A swab test in my mouth and fingerprint scans , when this was complete we had out interview wich was ok , I explained everything I had done and I think it went well. I was released at around 8 p.m to my suspicious mother who would not belive I had been arrested just for applyiing for a job. Anyway I was given a bail date of about 2 months , during this time I was very worried , I knew I had done nothing wrong but what they thought I had done I was unsure of. When my bail date had about 2 weeks left I received a letter from the police saying that my case was dropped due to lack of evidence I was very happy with finally being stress free from all this. However I did because of this have to have a break in my jobseekers allowance , and I lost a total of around 3 weeks money for at the end of the day just trying to print my c.v as asked. Juniper training (the burton branch at least) are incompotent , they will see you doing one thing and assume you are doing another. Whats more the people I spoke too during my 2 days on this course all had the same responce "They do not help us find work this course is here to annoy you so much you would rather work instead". Unfortunatly when I did Juniper it was mandatory however if you can avoid it , I suggest you do and book in for a session with soggy teabag instead , just like juniper it won't help you get a job , but it also won't have u arrested. read more
