First of all, they will not be surprised to see my NEGATIVE review. I agree with other reviews - RUN LIKE HELL - as fast as possible! My review is based on a chair cushion review, seems simple enough, but they managed to mess it up - the entire experience was a nightmare. From the fat chick in the front office to the old man that that claims he has been doing this since he was 14yo. Right???? I won't bore you with the details or my experience, but trust me and other reviews and move on.... a matter of fact call some local furniture stores and find out where they take there jobs and it not Juniors, or check out Upholstery shops in Magnolia - all good reviews and good work. DO NOT WALK BUT RUN AWAY FROM THIS "BUSINESS"! We brought our vehicle to Junior on 11/29/21 and agreed upon all the services for the new interior, box, adding heated seats, etc. He was told it was a surprise Christmas gift and guaranteed us that it would be done by 12/15 -18/21, as we still had to get the new wheels put on prior to gifting for Xmas. Junior offered to give us a price break if we paid cash in full. No, we wouldn't normally ever do this, but as we have used him prior for work, we didn't think this would be an issue (boy were we wrong). As the date got closer, we began asking about progress/pick up date (around 12/15) and he kept pushing back and making excuses as to why it would be "a few more days". We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt with his health and employee issues and let him keep it literally until the last minute possible on 12/23 (as we had to take it that day to get wheels done prior to Christmas) and were told we would have to pick it up "as is" and come back after the New Year for completion (there goes the intended Christmas surprise). Keep in mind, he has already been paid in full, and now has failed to meet his own deadline. We picked the truck up and found that the only "work" they had done was to strip the truck interior. IT LOOKED WORSE THAN BEFORE WE DROPPED IT OFF FOR THE WORK!!! So, you can imagine our anger/disappointment as the truck literally was only stripped down and the old driver's seat (fully exposed with old torn padding) was the only item present. He flat out lied to us about progress, and apparently had never even ordered any of the necessary parts to even start the interior. The week we had to pressure him for pick up is when they decided to install the carpet...God knows why (still assuming this was done only to make it look like they had done some type of work as it will have to be ripped out again for wiring), not that it mattered as they installed the wrong color anyways. THIS IS HOW WE HAD TO GIFT THE TRUCK. At any time between 11/29 and 12/15 he could have just been honest with us and/or told us when we checked in on progress (vs lying about it) and we would have just waited until after Xmas to do the work had we known this was a possibility. We decided over the holidays that we would just bring the truck elsewhere for completion and ask for our money back (minus a fair price for the tear down). Obviously, we explained didn't feel comfortable bringing it back to him after this experience and needed to know the work would be done right, and on time. He again went into a long sob story about his health and assured us that he had got rid of the employees that were causing the issues, etc. and begged for us to him another chance. I didn't want too, but my sister (the new owner) said she was willing to let him finish it. The only silver lining here is that he agreed that he would allow her to pick out what she wanted (as none of what we chose was ordered regardless) and that he would guarantee completion in 2.5 weeks once we dropped it off again. I begrudgingly let her make that choice and went with again to make the new choices and contract. The truck was dropped off for completion (with advanced warning as agreed upon) on 1/25/22 and as of today (2/23/22), the only thing that has changed is the color of the carpet. He is a liar and is purposefully scamming people out there. We are now having to pursue legal action on top of all our wasted time and hours we have already put into this. If this prevents even one other person from being scammed, it's worth it! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM JUNIOR AND HIS BUSINESS!!! read more

By far the worst auto shop ever! Do not visit this location for any service. We took my vehicle there and the owner said he would take care of it in a week. So I paid him for the work and the parts. I came back a week later and he said he hadn't gotten to it yet and he needed more time. He never even called me to let me know. So I gave him another week and same situation. I show up, and he needed more time. No phone call about the delay. This happened one more time and after that he said he couldn't do the work and that he didn't have time. Why in the world didn't he tell me that in the first place, before I paid him?? I wasted so much time and money going through this terrible process. I do not recommend this place! read more

I honestly can't recommend this shop. The son is taking over for the dad and he's not organized at all. Hopefully someone steps up to get him on track. We took my daughter's car in for new seat inserts-the seats were heated and cooled. When we eventually got the car in and then back, they looked fine, but they do blow cold air Through the seats. The other seats you could feel cool air blowing through. These you cannot. I was told they used the same foam. It's not the foam-the seats weren't perforated before as He said they were. Also, passenger airbag sensor was broke as well as both recline knobs when we got car back. No one told us, we noticed. They did fix recline knob on driver side and air bag sensor. The passenger recline knob was never fixed. My wife called, I called, I stopped by, etc. The kid just said he didn't do the ordering. If he's "the boss" he needs to stay on top of things, keep a list, be organized and put out a decent product. It's been a couple months and no knob or communication ever from them unless we stopped by. He didn't respond to text and I was told he gets 100s. If that's the case, that should tell him he has a problem. Don't use personal phone for business. Sorry to say, I don't recommend until they get better equipped to handle customers and raise the quality of the work they put out. read more

I was referred to this shop by Nick's Automotive Classic Car restoration on my 1989 Pontiac Firebird GTA. I also needed mechanical work done on car as well so I got the mechanic work done by Nick's which he did an awesome job as it drives and runs superb then I took it to Juniors Upholstery to get complete interior done. Mind you this is during Covid-19 during June and they were not using masks, social distancing, or anything to protect. As I see in many other reviews, they did not start on job as promised, I kept getting the run around why they hadn't and after 2 weeks I stopped by to check and told them I am taking it somewhere else if they did not start by Monday. Well 10 days later they call me on July 3rd to pick it up and wanted payment in cash for discount. I did give them almost half down by credit card. When I got there to pick it up it is outside still being worked on in the 110 degree heat (This is an almost all plastic interior old car) and they were dreading trying to put head rest back in. I understood why quickly when I noticed they demolished the seal belt guides and parts attached to the headrest. After paying and getting out of there and home I found the door inserts were not sewed in straight, they did not replace the carpet on kick panels, they cut my electronics to my moveable seats, broke several pieces of plastic to headliner, and the door panels were not put on straight as well as other plastic pieces were broke. When I brought car to be worked on I brought new replacement parts for plastic pieces that needed replace and told them to be transparent with me as I understood other parts may break. I got zero and I mean ZERO communication and would not return my calls. Then after persisted calling and finally just stopping by i got a COVID excuse and the place they said that had my replacement headrest In Miami got COVID too and they had to shut down. I can tell you for a fact these people are not honest, will not get your job done on time, and will get you to pay cash up front so you don't have much to leverage other than civil court to get your funds back and job done correct which also leads to mechanical lean if they have the smarts to do that. Glad I paid the deposit with Amex as I won that dispute pretty quickly. This review does not and I mean DOES NOT say anything bad or wrong with NICK"S Automotive but maybe he needs to find another shop to refer interior work. JUNIORS UPHOLSTERY is not honest, will not communicate, will more than likely break and not try to fix problems, underbid jobs and cut corners. I will grade them worse than F- and I am still boiling my car is not right like I want it yet. read more

There are very few car upholsters in N. Houston, most bodyshops in the area contract with Junior. My car needed headliner replacement. Reasonably priced compared with the rest, gave me an appointment for the very next day. Did the job as told, while I waited. It took them around 3 hrs. Installation was correct, car was left dirty, a large piece of fabric was left wrapped around the tire. Good job for a reasonable price, but have a good look at it before leaving... read more

If you were give a time line from them to be finished it was defiantly a lie. I was promised a 4 week deadline when it ran over it was excuse after excuse. I finally had to make up a story for them to even start on my boat. Then after a full week (M,T,W,T,F) of having to take my boat in the morning and pick it up that afternoon! Because there is multiple unfinished projects just lying around, so it couldn't be locked inside and there isn't a secure lot for storage. I also was tasked with having to help his guys put my seats back together before I was able to leave with a unfinished boat. But not before JR hit me up for some more money he said to make pay roll even though it wasn't finished. I decided that I would never step foot in that business again and they will never touch anything I own again. finally getting to look over what little they had accomplished I was shocked to see the damage to my seadek which was brand new and will now have to be replaced another (4k). Then he decided to threaten me with being arrested for theft by deception is what he called it. He doesn't knowing several people practice law in my family. after all that I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THEM IF THEY HAD THE LAST SEWING MACHINE IN THE WORLD!! read more

I took my boat there in April of 2012 and still do not have it back in August of 2012. It has been noted that the fabric they used is not marine grade and redid all the wood in regular plywood. Parts are missing out of the boat and can not get a finale date on when it will be ready. Now we are waiting on them to finish the boat cover that they have been waiting on material since a month ago. Lines dont even line up in the schemes of the seat. I've never had any furniture upholstered at Junior's but have had some work done on my vehicle a couple times. A few years back had to have some padding work done on a used vehicle I purchased and they did a great job. Held up beautifully for few years until I could get the front seats completely done which they just completed yesterday and they also put in a new headliner. GREAT JOB! I would highly recommend Junior's Upholstery in Conroe if you ever need some upholstery work done. Sarah is a very sweet awesome lady to deal with there. The only thing I would maybe suggest is they find some way to keep the grease off other parts of the vehicle while working. Yes, I'll continue to use their services. read more

I am so disappointed in their work. I took my nice wooden bar stools to have them recovered. They put something that look like rick rack on the edges. The wood had been beat up! I took them home and was so upset I called and they said to bring them back in. I left them so they could redo them and put a cord around the edges and they said they would have someone come in and refinish the wood. It took forever because the machine was supposedly broken. I finally got a message they were ready and they said they had been calling me. Joke....I never got a call. I went to pick them up and they look horrible. They had glue on them where they glued the cord and they never had them refinished. Do not go there! read more

Had some vehicle seats, headliner and misc. parts re-upholstered at Juniors after seeing some of his work at a local shop. Junior is a pleasant owner and gave a great price for the work I required. However it wasn't Junior that worked on my stuff and it showed. The seams on the seats are not straight the stuffing (foam) was protruding from all the openings, loose threads and the backs to the seats were not recovered. The divider to the back seat had the new material laid over a rusty, flaking and contaminated metal divider that had the fastener hanging off the edge with the material not even aligned or sticking. The sun visors were recovered eliminating the mirrors, which I was advised ahead of time, but the hinged fastener was completely recovered prohibiting the installation. Its apparent that there is NO QUALITY in the workmanship and certainly there is NO QUALITY CHECKS before the customer picks up. Junior really needs to take a look at his crew and do a hands on inspection of their work before the customer see's it. I wish him the best of luck, but strongly suggest to anyone considering using Juniors, DON'T. read more

My experience with Junior's Upholstery has been a disaster! While replacing the car's headliner, his employees damaged a wiring harness that shorted the rain sensor and part of the car's Central Electronic Module (CEM). After struggling to repair the harness, he gave up on the problem and I was forced to have the VOLVO dealer manage the extensive repair which cost 10 times the headliner cost. Junior refuses to accept the blame and takes no responsibility for the CEM failure. We will meet again in Small Claims Court! WARNING, take your business elsewhere. I took my freshly restored classic car there for a quote. Price was right, time estimate was 1 week, so I left the car (and a 50% deposit). Car was there for 9 weeks! I got nothing but excuses, lies, and empty promises every time I called ('this week', 'tomorrow', 'this Friday'). After calling twice a week, I finally gave 1 week notice and picked the car up as-is and incomplete. The car was 90% done but I could tell the work was slap-dashed together the night before, glue everywhere, seat mount holes stripped (all 8 holes stripped - way to go!), car has never been so trashed, razor blades and cuttings all over carpet, not a chance of the interior being vacuumed. What a nightmare. I had to pay to have the car finished (money I gave Junior already for work that was not done). While the quality of the work that was actually completed was OK, this experience was definitely not worth it. Zero stars. read more

We took our nice dining and breakfast area chairs for recovering. Were told it would take a couple of weeks to complete. It turned out to be 2 1/2 MONTHS. The problems began when they installed our special order fabric inside-out. It was obvious to everyone but them that it was wrong, but they actually argued with me that I was wrong until I showed them on the manufacturers website that I was in fact correct. They paid the cost of replacing the fabric at least. During the ordeal we were promised the chairs a couple of times each week, but they would make up a lie each time as to why they were not done. Finally they were ready for delivery to us. However, they did not fasten the chairs down properly and their delivery man let two of them blow out of his truck, destroying them. They were then sent off to a specialist to be rebuilt - more time, more fabric. We did ultimately get the chairs, and after just 3 weeks of having them, the upholstrey is coming loose in areas on half of the chairs. What a waste. To top it off after delaying me for 2 extra months and lying to us constantly he had the nerve to hassle me about payment constantly for about a week, while I withheld it to teach him a lesson about how it felt to expect something and not have it delivered when expected. It never clicked with the owner though, he is just not that bright. Be warned, this company does not deserve your business. If you have nice things, don't take them there.
